---Draco had taken the time between Mille's call and Mille's impending arrival to bandage up his injured finger. If he was going about it the Muggle way, he may as well go the full nine yards, after all. Glancing back to the kitchen, and the offending pot of ( Read more... )

Oh this boy was just too cute. He was looking forward to this for sure. If only to see how horribly the cooking had gone before he got there. Mille always was one to enjoy something like that. It was a little bit of a sadistic streak but that was fine by him.

Humming, he landed in front of the door and knocked on it.

It was so fast to get here when he was using trees and roofs to leap from. "I'm here, cutie~!"

Well, that was bloody fast. Draco opened the door not long after the muffled greeting came, leaning against one side of the doorway to let him in. "That didn't take long," he mused, greeting him with a small nod and smirk, "Come in, then."

The smell of burned 'soup' still lingered off in the kitchen, a few cooking implements left strewn around the area haphazardly. "I didn't bother cleaning up at all."

Looking around the kitchen, Mille's gold eyes glittered with amusement before he went over to look at the soup. There was no saving this poor thing. It was gone for good. "I might have been headed this direction already."

He was humming again as he picked up the pot and brought it over to the sink. Dumping it out, he gave Draco a look of bemusement. "Get the ingredients you want and we'll start from there. It's either that or you get to wash up the pot."

He sighed dramatically, rolling his eyes as he headed off to gather up some more ingredients. "Not like I had time to do it anyway." Not without his wand, at the very least; that would have taken barely any time at all.

Rummaging through the fridge and cupboards, Draco returned to the counter with an armful of standard items to create a basic chicken soup. May as well start simple, after all.

It was like magic without a wand that Mille managed to get that pot cleaned up so quickly. Looking at the ingredients, he noted that most of them were good. Quickly, he moved through the kitchen until he found herbs and spices he wanted.

"Now, we'll start small with the broth." Moving in close, Mille pointed to what was needed but let Draco do the work. How else was the boy supposed to learn?

Not that he didn't throw in looks of admiration and flirtation while he did it though. He could hardly help himself.

If it weren't for the looks he was periodically shot, Draco probably wouldn't have enjoyed the little lesson as much as he was. He nodded throughout, doing as he was told as if he were being graded, and it were a potion. Thinking of it that way seemed to make it much easier, strangely enough.

And, of course, he couldn't help but return those flirting glances whenever he was doing well.

"Now, the scary part. Chopping." Moving in behind Draco, Mille wrapped his arms around him to hold his hands while he guided him into chopping the vegetables. While he did so, he whispered little encouragements into Draco's ear.

"See? This isn't so hard. You just have to keep your fingers out of the way. I wouldn't want someone like you hurting yourself every time you try something like this."

While the gesture did feel a bit childish, there was a strange intimacy that took away most of that feeling for the blond. He turned his head slightly towards Mille, his voice just as quiet, "Someone like me?"

He made sure, even as he spoke, to keep his fingers, bandaged or not, out of the way of the blade. After all, he didn't want another incident to occur.

"That's right." Though, he didn't clarify that bit of information. Flipping his hair over his shoulder to get it out of his face, he smiled a little.

"Someone like you," he repeated softly and even added a kiss to Draco's cheek before looking back at the vegetables to finish chopping them up. Still moving the boy's hands, he guided them into scooping them up and putting them in the pot then to start on the chicken.

A small smile twitched at the corners of Draco's mouth at the kiss; lately, all it took was a few well-placed words to get him some action, he noted, going back to chopping things for the soup. He didn't bother asking again what the statement meant - it couldn't be horrible, if it were accompanied by assistance cooking. And besides, the soup was going strangely well right then.

The chicken, he had Draco cook until it looked like it would be edible and then it went in the soup. Grabbing a spoon, he handed it over with a triumphant look on his face. "Here, have a taste and tell me what you think it might need added to it."

The blond accepted the spoon, eying it slightly before taking a taste of the soup. It was surprisingly good, actually, needing very little. There was only the one issue of it being a bit bland. "Few more of those herbs, I suppose." His surprise at it being decent showed on his face as he stared at the pot, dragging his eyes up to Mille after a moment or two.

"Try a tiny bit of salt and pepper first. Hold out your hand." Mille held up the salt and poured some in after Draco did what he was told. "Into the soup. There. Just like that." The pepper he let Draco grind until he told him to stop.

"Stir it and take another taste." He gave a cute little smile while he waited.

He did as he was told, stirring in the salt and pepper alike after grinding and dumping them both in. Giving a glance to Mille again, more out of curiosity than anything else, Draco took another taste of the soup and nodded slowly to himself.

"Surprisingly good."

"Of course. Now we wait for it to finish cooking and you can find a way to entertain your guest until then." Not that he couldn't do that himself but he was a cheeky devil when he wanted to be. Which he usually did.

And so many people made it so easy.

Thankfully, Draco had been brought up as a relatively good host to his guests, even if it didn't usually show. He shrugged, gesturing towards the living room. "After you, then. Care for a cup of tea?"
