Fay turned to Amalthea with a polite grin, setting aside his pen for a moment to pick up the teapot sitting next to him.

He pours the tea carefully, not even spilling a drop, then sets the pot back down.

"I am certain everyone will be here soon," he said. "Is there anything else you require before they arrive?"

Fay took a moment to concentrate on his own tea, breathing in the steam from the cup before taking a sip.

"I was hoping that all of us could compare notes in regards to how the spells could have gotten tangled in each other and what the best method for untangling them would be."

"Well," said Fay thoughtfully, "not precisely."

He leaned back on his hands, gazing up at the sky as he looked for the words to explain himself.

"It is true that I was taught a certain system of magic, and that is the kind of magic that I can use without hardly a thought. I have knowledge, though, of many other different kinds that I can adapt for my own use if it becomes necessary. So, that is what I am hoping I can do for you."
