It didn't take Rikku too long to find the village that Paine had been talking about. Apparently when she was transported here, she had been dropped off in a field infested with moving scarecrows. No big deal. She was a big girl! She could ( Read more... )

Finding the fountain hadn't been hard, not when she'd managed to work out the map program on the Dreamberry. Trial and error worked for numerous things. Standing, staring at the sky, Paine decided to take the moment to wait for her companions in silence.

It made sense that Yuna would either take a look around, or wander due to the wait. Either way, Paine was patient. She could wait.

Her wait didn't last long. Smirking slightly, Paine turned at the sound of Rikku's voice. "Always so loud." She murmured to herself, "I barely had time to miss you."

Although she was glad that they were all together.

Rikku rushed to Paine, her scarf being kicked up as she ran. She ran to hug her friend as if it weren't just moments ago that she was standing beside her as they watched Yuna be reuinted with her lost love.

"You missed me! Admit it~" she giggled. Glancing around she realized that Yuna was missing. "Where's Yunie? I thought she was with you."

Yuna, however, wasn't far off. She had, as Paine had predicted, began to wonder around the small space that surrounded the fountain. She had made sure to stay close, however, knowing that once Paine and Rikku reached where she was, it was likely they'd want to move on quickly.

So once she had heard Rikku's voice, she had begun to head back. Just in time, it seemed, to watch the blond practically tackle their friend.

"I'm right here." There was a laugh in her voice and a smile on her face. "I was just taking a better look at the area. Best to know what we're getting ourselves into, right?"

Paine had absently allowed Rikku's hug, smiling mildly. While for Rikku they had been standing beside one another just moments ago, Paine had been concerned that Vegnagun had been behind things. The last thing she'd done was jump into the hole left in Djose Temple.

Just as she'd opened her mouth to reply, Yuna spoke up, and Paine turned to see the former-summoner, pleased that they were once again in group. "Good point," it was an idea to figure out the land. "How about we do it as a trio though."

They'd come a long way, and no doubt, they'd be well prepared for anything that might pop out at them.

Rikku let go of Paine when she heard Yuna's familiar voice and then went to hug her cousin before facing her two friends and striking a pose. "Right! YRP is back together again!"

She glanced around the tiny, quiet village. It's atmosphere kind of reminded her of Besaid minus a few of the familiar faces that she knew.

"How far did ya get? Find anything interesting, Yunie?

Yuna smiled at her cousins enthusiasm as she quickly returned the hug, before laughing at the pose she struck. It seemed that not even the chilly air could cool off Rikku's optimism.

"Not far. I was trying to stay close so I'd be able to hear when the two of you showed up." Although, she had to admit, it would be hard to miss the distinctive sound of her cousin's voice. "I did find out about some cottages we might be able to stay at. They're only a couple of streets over."

Some things never seemed to change, that was a comfort in a way. Paine's arms crossed over her chest while she smirked at Rikku, glancing at Yuna as she spoke.

"We don't know how long we'll be here, it would be wise to have somewhere to stay." From the news that she'd heard about people being stuck, no way out, and the fact that some of them had been here for months, Paine wasn't too optimistic about getting out of there soon.

"Lets have a look?"

"I still can't believe we're stuck here," Rikku pouted, her attitude changing from her previous outlook. To be honest, it did bum her out a little, but on the bright side, it was basically like taking a vacation with her two best friends. Rikku knew when to count her blessings and this was one of those times.

Somarium didn't seem like a bad place and nothing screamed much of a threat to Rikku. "Finding some place to stay does sound good though. It'll just be like a mini-vacation for us, so lead the way!"
