*Is wrapped up in some kind of hand-held console when he passes her, only just barely noticing at all. He slows and turns, throwing a curious glance back at her, before stopping altogether. Doesn't she look... just like...*

Sera? Is that you?

[The girl gasped slightly and she jerked in alarm when she was called... How did he know her name?! No one in the world knew her real name, except her friends, and the Karma Society. Her friends were gone... That only left one option for who this boy was.

Sera couldn't get up and away from him fast enough. In her rush to try to get away, she slipped easily in the slushy melting snow and slammed right back down before she could get more then a few steps. She immediately curled up trying to protect herself in any way possible.]

I-- N-No! Don't make me go back! [... Yeah, when she's scared, she's not very rational.]

Whoa! *Is pretty surprised himself over the reaction, and he jumps when she springs into motion. He recovers quickly, though, and by the time she's curled up in the freezing slush he's hurrying after her, kneeling beside her trembling form.*

What are you talking about? *Holds a hand just over her back, wanting to help but afraid he might spook her again.* Sera? You're not making any sense. Go back 'where'?

I can't do such terrible things! Please don't--!

[It took the terrified girl a minute for Danny's words to actually sink in. Slowly and carefully, she pushed herself up a little to stare at him in utter confusion.]

You... You don't know? [... If he was with the Karma Society, he would know exactly where she meant. Was he just trying to trick her? Sera's minds were reeling with so many thoughts that she just couldn't begin to sort them out in this moment.]

Terrible things? *Lets his hand fall back to his side, watching her slowly uncurl.*

Trust me, I have no idea what you're talking about. What do you mean 'terrible things'? No one here's forcing you do anything, are they?

[... That just confused her even more! She's pushed herself up to sit on her knees now, letting her arms fall limp at her sides.]

How... Th-then, how do you know who I am? [Yeah, she's not answering you just yet. She still doesn't know how anyone could know her outside of the society, and he definitely didn't look like one of the Embryon.]

How do I... know? *For a moment he just stares at her, almost as baffled as she is. Then the obvious finally clicks, and understanding dawns.*

Oh. *Straightens, leaning back on his haunches.* I'm guessing you don't recognize me, anymore, do you?

Do you remember the last time you came here?

[The plot thickens. She blinks at him in surprise.]

I was here before...? [She highly doubted it. She would have remembered if she saw a place with such a beautiful sky, but... How could she not know about what the boy was talking about? Sera shakes her head.] I don't remember...

Yeah, you were.

Don't worry about it. *Sighs, before offering a sad grin, one he hopes is reassuring.* People forget this place all the time.

*Holds a hand out for her to take. This may not be the Sera he knew, but she's still Sera, and right now she's alone, cold, and scared. He can't leave her like that.* Come on, I'll explain everything over some icecream. Or, uh, hot chocolate, if you'd prefer that.

[Was this somehow like when she lost all of her memories when she went to the Junkyard? But, back then she lost every memory she had. Here, she completely remembered who she was, and where she was before.]

I'm sorry... I don't really know where "this place" is.

[She looks down at the ground, and muses quietly to herself. So far, this boy hadn't hurt her at all. In fact, he was being pretty nice to her, especially considering how she reacted...]

But... that sounds nice.

*Glances at their surroundings. Instead of giving a nice, complete answer, he sorta shrugs and says,* It's called Somarium. Welcome to the Somni part of it.

*Keeps his hand extended towards her, though the gesture is less hesitant. He's had his rough history with her tribe, but his concern seems sincere enough.* Sweet. There's this cool yogurt place down the road, then. I'll, uh, answer any questions you've got there.

*And in something of an afterthought, half to himself,* We should probably, you know, call your tribe, there, too.

[She still sits on her knees for a moment, tilting her head slightly as she tried out the name. When Danny extends his hand to her, she stares at it, a little unsure of what to do, but she hesitantly reaches to take it... Then she registered what he was saying as he continued talking. Her eyes widened, and she moved her gaze to stare up at his face, looking like he just surprised her, but she finally couldn't help but start to smile as she felt an unvelievable surge of hope and relief.]
