[Her feet were really starting to get cold in this snow, and it was getting hard to see.

[ Toph doesn't have to fumble about for long - eventually someone crossed her path, though intentionally. The way Toph was stumbling about, Terra thought she might be ill. And why wasn't she wearing shoes, the half esper wondered. ]

Excuse me miss? Did you just arrive here?

[toph was not expecting that and she almost fell]

Jeez! Warn me before you just show up!

[ Holy crap. Terra jumps a bit herself at the sudden shout. ]

I'm sorry, but I thought you would have seen me... [ Her voice trails off a bit, getting a better look at the girl. Her eyes were... ] Oh.

Well, unfortunately no. If it weren't for this stupid snow, I'd have known you where there.

But you're.... blind aren't you? [ As she asks this, Terra glances about for somewhere to bring Toph to help her warm up. Her own place was too far away, so she moves to take hold of Toph's hand and tug lightly. ] There's a place not far where you can get warm and dry off. What's your name?

[she sighed.

Pity...the one thing she hated more than anything else...]

Yes. I am. But I'm not helpless.

[ Terra wasn't pitying the girl - she doesn't even know what that is. She was only confused. ]

My name is Terra. I wasn't saying you were helpless, but where I'm from, if you're blind then ... well I don't know how you can see.

[she didn't see the need to explain it past that. After all, she had no idea she was in a different world]

You see ... with your feet? [ Bewildered. Although that explained why she wasn't wearing shoes. ] Careful, there's a slight step up here. [ Terra stepped aside a bit to let Toph precede her into the building. ] What is Earth Bending?

[the second her feet were on unfrozen, solid floor, Toph felt much more comfortable]

I don't know the name of the planet, but we don't have anything like that at all. What is it?

[ A pause, and then the scrape of a chair. ] Here, you can sit here while I get a towel.

[oh, now that her feet are on the right kind of surface, she can 'see' just fine.

As if nothing was wrong with her at all, Toph practically falls on the chair before propping up her feet]

I'm so glad there is almost no snow in the Earth Kingdom.

[Then her ear pricked]

...wait. You talk like you're from another world. Where the heck is this?

[ Erp! Terra caught herself before she tried to help Toph - instead she trotted away a bit to borrow one of the available towels, and padded back, offering it to the blind girl. ]

Here, dry off with this. [ Blink? ] Earth Kingdom? This is Somarium ...um, sorry to tell you but you're not on your world anymore. Apparently... apparently we were all brought here against our will.

[it took her a second to figure out exactly where it was based on Terra's posture, but she took it and started drying off]

'So-ma-ri-um?' You're kidding, right? This had to be some kind of trick.

No, I'm sorry, this isn't a trick. A lot of people were brought here the same as you - and we were all given these ...uh--oh..um... [Hrm. Terra pulls out her dreamberry, wondering how the heck Toph could use it -- oh wait, it had a voicefunction didn't it? ] They're strange little devices called "Dreamberries". You probably have one on you somewhere. We can use them to communicate with others here ...

Although with the way the weather is, they're not functioning so well lately.

[but just to humor her--she thought this girl was totally nutz--she fished around in her bag]
