Minatsuki was bundled up in layers. If there was one thing she now hated, it was winter. In Deadman Wonderland, they never had to worry about snow or rain or...
"UGH." She made her displeasure known aloud as she stomped up to the Christmas tree. She was curious about how it managed to remain so bright and green even in this miserable weather. Who took care of it? She'd been searching for a greenhouse but found none.
And here came someone who heard sound of displeasure and noting that it was a girl, could not help but come to her.
"Is something the matter, miss?" Tamaki asked with a bit of concern. With all those layers it was rather obvious she didn't like the cold but there may be something else. If anything, the blond was certainly more than willing to help.
Minatsuki turned (looking a bit penguin-like as she did) to face the person who had spoken. She opened her mouth, ready to fire off a 'Fuck off, pig!' when...
Her mouth dropped.
"O...Onii-san."
With the snow falling and cloudy conditions, she could only think that the tall, handsome blonde boy standing near her could be Yoh Takami. So he had arrived.
Minatsuki blinked away the tears that had instantaneously formed on automatic reflex at the idea of having to put up a front for meeting anybody she knew. Her eyes narrowed suspiciously, and she stepped forward to get a better look at the boy's face.
...Ah, no. This wasn't Yoh Takami. But the resemblance was truly startling. "Oh, sorry..." she said, and even she could not hide the flatness of disappointment in her voice.
Tamaki now felt guilty for causing the young girl such disappointment and was quick to try and cheer her up.
"Ah, but perhaps he'll be here one day! People have been appearing all the time so it's not impossible." He hesitated for a moment. What should he do? What should he say? This was definitely different than from Nekozawa's sister, Kirimi. Then he could have just played with her but uh. Yeah. Minatsuki is a bit old for that...
"No, I doubt it," said Minatsuki suddenly, bitterly. "He's probably still stuck in prison." She stuck a hand on her hip, her face hardening as she looked up at Tamaki. "Yeah, you can help me. How long have you been here?" Her grouchy tone definitely did not match her adorable face.
"A prison?!" Surprised Tamaki was surprised. But he quickly regained his composure as he answered her question. "Ah..I've been here since...the beginning so to speak. I was one of the first people to arrive here, actually."
"Yep. Prison. No big deal. He did the crime, he's doing the time." Minatsuki bit back the temptation of telling him that that was where she belonged, as well. "Kay." She drew her mouth into a hard line. "If you know about this place, tell me where I can find a greenhouse." She gave him a critical look. He certainly didn't look capable. In fact, he looked like he'd melt like butter if she threw a swear at him.
He probably would, but Tamaki would prove helpful! ...Somewhat.
"A greenhouse?" He looked up thoughtfully, thinking. Had he seen one? Unfortunately, not one that he could recall...however! "I haven't seen one, but I'm sure there is one around in the village or near the parks in the residential district. I know there are some lovely gardens there so it would make sense for there to be a greenhouse as well."
Minatsuki scowled. But the answer was better than nothing. "Huh, I guess so. Shit, I hate it here!" she suddenly cursed, kicking her boot in the snow. "Fucking snow! And there's nobody I know, either! Thought you were Yoh. Huh, no way! I bet he's rotting away in prison! Can't even give me an explanation."
It was the best he could give for the moment. He was a bit startled by her outburst, however. "I'll be more than willing to help in finding one for you," he said quickly before adding, "and...this place isn't so bad. You can meet a lot of people and perhaps make new friends that way."
He gave her a charming smile. "Like me for instance! I would be more than willing to be your friend..ah, I never got your name?"
"I'm not looking for friends," scowled Minatsuki, but... His simple, clueless behavior was just so like Ganta. The thought startled her. It had been a while since she had thought of the boy who had insisted on being her friend even after she betrayed him. Ganta had wanted to be her friend despite her behavior. He had even managed to help save her from losing one of her vital body parts.
"...Ah... Fine. I'm Minatsuki Takami." She did not hold her hand out to him, but she gave him a begrudging smile.

...And he had to admit the motion was a bit cute but he was a bit too surprised and feeling a little awkward.
"Ah...I think you have mistaken me for someone else. I'm Suoh Tamaki. I believe this is the first time we met..."

He then stood up and asked in a cheerful voice, "What would you like for Christmas, Takami-san?"
