That's... [Unfortunate? Pitiful? Pitiable? ...No, none of that. He may not know much about him yet, but one thing is obvious - he's been through a lot, and regardless of how he displays it, he's strong. To pity that would be an insult, and to blame it on bad luck would be just as bad of a farce.

No. This has nothing to do with him. He doesn't understand enough of the situation anyway to make an apology worth its grain.
