It wasn't in Dorian to make a lady wait, especially if it was a beautiful lady that he had other plans for in the near future. Dressing himself (and making a quick trip the attic to check on the portrait that had mysteriously turned up along with him in this strange place), Dorian hurried out of the theatre where he had made his home soon after. The fountain was in the middle of the city. While the lack of hansoms in this place were quite a pain, Dorian soon found the place and the familiar figure of the girl whom he had only seen through that unfamiliar device.

"Miss Iris?" He asked as he approached, tipping his hat in greeting.

Dorian Gray did certainly looked more handsome in person. She couldn't help but giggle when he tipped his hat at her. It almost made her curtsy in return. She placed the paper bag down at her feet before answering his query.

"Ah, yes," Iris smiled at the man, removing her glove before holding out her hand in order to shake his in greeting. "I'm glad you were able to make it, Mr. Gray."

He took the hand that she offered, but instead of shaking it like he would another gentleman's, Dorian leaned in to press a kiss on the back of it, all the while keeping his eyes on hers.

Beautiful indeed. The oriental curves of her jaw had seemed so exotic to her, especially when entwined with a shyness that he did not see in the other oriental women in London. Then again, those were women whom he only saw in the East End at night. How could they compare to a gem like this one?

"I won't miss this for the world."

Our first stop is the church so we'll move to Danny's post bellow thenicer_one January 19 2010, 16:50:35 UTC
When his lips touched the back of her palm, Iris blushed. She knew that is was gentlemanly gesture but their eyes met, making her feel a bit more flustered than before.

"A-ah. Hmn," with a gentle tug, the woman pulled her hand back, tucking a stray lock of her with her finger. "Thank you for coming."

After composing herself, Iris grabbed the paper bag on the floor, carrying it with both hands. The tin of cookies made it a bit heavier but she could still manage.

"It looks like I was wrong earlier. We will be able to take a tour around the village as well. I have two friends who live in one of the cottages and the church. Do you mind if we visit them, Mr. Gray?"

Wondering if he shouldn't just wait inside, Danny is sitting on the Church's front steps, taking advantage of the large building's shelter from the cold breeze. Some ways before him, the Church's gates are slightly ajar. They should be able to get in--and if they don't try, he'll be able to see them from here.

On this winter day, the skeletal rose-garden is silent, and the usual rustling of leaves and petals is gone. The effect isn't unpleasant, though--just different, with an almost goth-like style of beauty. Not that he'd be an expert on that, of course.

There's a clumsily wrapped package sitting on the steps beside him. The wrappings are improvised with some sort of newspaper comic pages, and enough tape to make unwrapping it one heck of a task. The chocolate inside is hidden, though, and that's all he really knows is important for that kind of thing.

"Danny!" Iris called out as she and Dorian approach the church. The nun quickened her pace, almost overtaking her companion. It felt like she hasn't seen the boy for so long. She has talked to Danny countless times on the Dreamberry but it was definitely a different experience to see the person in the flesh.

"Danny!" Iris waved, a bit closer to the boy now. "Over here!"

Dorian followed in a more sedate pace, taking the chance to look around the place that they were in.

Interesting garden.

Danny hops to his feet when he hears her, glad for a reason to move around and warm up. (His present is briefly forgotten on the Church step.)

"Iris! You made it!" He waves back a little, before noticing the man with her. "And, uh--hi," he adds quickly, trying not to cringe at how blatantly last-minute that greeting was tacked on. Awkward. "Uh, welcome. ...Both of you."

[OOC: Just to double-check (because this is impressive backdating here), is this backdated to before his latest conversations with you two? 8|p As in, does he know Iris has soup and Dorian's mean grandpa?]
