She had done it! She had done! Well, a part of her said, she should be able to do it. Every proper lady should be the hostess of a tea party! 'And such a clever twist' she thought! Not many people held outdoor tea parties in the winter... with good reason she supposed but still! She was wearing one of her nicer warmer jackets and dresses as she made sure the long table had everything she would need. All the chairs and the table itself... But still she had done it! Which was far more impressive in her opinion. It was the perfect step in becoming a proper lady like her sister and mother. They held tea parties all the time! Well... maybe not the hide and seek game. But everyone had seemed perfectly excited about the game! And Mr. Ken had said he would bring the ball in case they stopped wanting to play!
The table was laden with food from desserts to little sandwiches, tea pots, teacups, and different beverages. Now she just needed her guests to arrive! Alice couldn't help the bright smile on her lips. Basil sat quite happily near the head of the table, saving her seat for her.
