Despite how things were progressing, this was not the most bizarre day in Stephanie Brown's life. Currently racing through the Government District from rooftop to rooftop, the amateur crime fighter inwardly congratulated herself as she landed steadily on her feet this time after a particularly dangerous-looking jump. With every leap, the Spoiler-turned-Batgirl was feeling more uneasy the moment. This wasn't a section of Gotham that she was familiar with and as she continued down the line of buildings, she realized that unless there was another catastrophic earthquake that she managed to somehow sleep through, this was not the city she had grown up in.
She'd spent years traversing the rooftops of the city, usually with a certain Boy Wonder at her side. Stephanie had come to believe that she was beginning to memorize the layout of Gotham better than she could ever keep her homework straight. But here there was no clock tower. No Wayne Industries. Hell, not even a Bat Signal to light up the sky.
Nope, she really wasn't in Kansas Gotham anymore.
Dashing across the roof of the district's firehouse, the blonde's booted foot landed awkwardly on the snowy lip of the building's edge. A jerk of her body later (and a very quick reminder to herself that, yes, snow is slippery) and the masked teenager was falling straight down from her perch.
Right into a patch of muddy snow.
Buried halfway in the pile that had so ungracefully softened her fall, Stephanie spat out the dirt that had ended up in her mouth with a grimace.
Okay, so this may not have been the most bizarre day of her life, but it was certainly a contestant in the running for most humiliating day of her life.
