They weren't here. Kyouya, Hikaru, Kaoru, Hunny, Mori--not even Renge or any of his classmates. But most importantly, she wasn't here.
"Haruhi?!" Tamaki yelled as he crashed through the third music room that served as their Host Club. "Haruhi where are you?!" He opened doors, even checked the cabinets.
But it wasn't the music room he was in. In reality, he was crashing through his cafe and going through the kitchen. In his mind what he saw was his school, but it was different. Gray, bleak, abandoned. It was empty, as if no one had been there in years.
Now he was rushing outside thinking that he was outside of the building and about to cross the school grounds to the next set where his classes were. Maybe they were there?
"Haruhi! Kyouya!" he yelled as he dashed through the streets, not realizing he was going through the park and heading toward the village. "Hikaru! Kaoru!"
When he reached a cottage door, he burst through it, fully believing he was in a classroom. "Hunny-senpai?? Mori-senpai??"
And that was how the young blond continued his search for his friends, going through every cottage and building and yelling for his friends. Where were they?
[ooc: So yeah, there will be two places: the cafe and all of Espoir. As mentioned in the post, Tamaki believes the cafe is actually his original Host Club room back home. The cottages and any other buildings will be like the classrooms in his school. So any residents are free to WTF at him when he barges in :D]
