Everything has gone so, so far to hell that he can't believe it. The 'dream world' facade has fallen to an eternal nightmare, stretching out as far as he can see- the static and screams the Dreamberry spits are enough to prove that point.
And part of him is glad Gokudera's here, though he doesn't know why- true warriors fight alone, die alone, need no one by their side. (At least Yamamoto isn't here, too. Such an insult may have just killed him.)

He thinks of the last time he was here, at the mercy of someone else, and feels the anger rushing back- but Gokudera isn't Rolo in any way, which makes it bearable. He doesn't mind Gokudera touching him, and it doesn't make him uneasy that he's the one picking up the pieces. Rolo- now, Rolo might have just killed him in his sleep. But Gokudera he trusts, insofar as he trusts anyone; which is to say, not much, but enough.

"No," Hibari says, and his voice sounds strange- rough, like a cough without the coughing. His mouth is still dry, too, and that's causing no small amount of discomfort.

He wonders if Gokudera knows that, hopes he does (doesn't hope? It's not clear to him) because there's no way he's going to say it, and no way he could if he wanted to.
