The shout took Rise by surprise. She had decided to take a short stroll around the village when she heard it and decided to make her way towards the origin. There she saw a redhead standing close to the fountain looking rather proud? Determined? She couldn't exactly place it at first.
Perhaps the boy was new and finding himself in an unfamiliar place had confused him. That seemed to be the norm for the newcomers in Somarium anyway. She was the same when she arrived so long ago, after all.
She slowly approached him, tapping lightly on his shoulder hoping that she wouldn't surprise him too much. "If you're looking for someone -- Beato, was it -- they might not be here."
He turned at the tapping, and paused for a moment. … If all the girl’s in his dreams were this cute, maybe they weren’t all that bad~
--But, he pauses at her words. That’s right, there was probably a chance that even she wouldn’t appear before him in his dreams. After they last spoke with one another-
“Hey, there.” Battler offers a greeting towards the girl. His shoulders slump as if to finally relax, offering a smile. “Ihihihi.” He laughs. “Guess not. Sorry, sorry. I’m used to some pretty weird things back at home. Ending up in a place like this definitely isn’t the most twisted thing that’s happened.”
"Hey," she said, returning the smile. Rise couldn't help but notice how cute this guy was now that she got a good view of him. Somarium really had good taste in choosing who to bring in sometimes, she had to give it that much.
Slowly, she steps back, her smile not faltering. It was a little refreshing seeing someone who seemed new not panic about the whole situation. From her experience, most people would try to find out how to get home almost immediately. "Yeah, I know what you mean. It's almost like everyone here has got some kind of story to tell."
She gave him a small nod before continuing. "Welcome to Somarium."
"--So, it's not just me from another place? Sounds pretty screwed up." Despite the words, there's a smile on his face. Always friendly, though somewhat awkward to those new to him - the expression never faltered from his face, either. Though, there's a bit of wariness there are well. He... couldn't afford to waste time in a place like this, not with his current predicaments back at home.
"Nope. I'm from Japan myself." Rise couldn't help but be comfortable about the whole set up, especially after being around as long as she has. It seems like time really does heal wounds. "There are others from other worlds, too. I haven't even heard of most of them."
She couldn't help but laugh on his comment about being Somarium being screwed up. There was so much more to Somarium that this couldn't even be considered the tip of the proverbial iceberg. It really was only the beginning. "Yeah, tell me about it.
