Riku hadn't been far, and the walk to the fountain he saw close by hadn't been a long one. Trying to ignore the goose bumps that had exploded over his skin, he made his way across the frozen ground, suddenly glad for his habitalual sneakers. Now if only he could have learned to wear something warmer than a tank top and a vest.
Fighting off a small shiver, he places a small smile on his face as bright green eyes land on her, sitting peacefully by the fountain. She looked the same as she had the last time he had seen her, which was surprising and not all at the same time. "Hey." His voice became softer than normal as he cocked his head as he reached her. "Told you I'd be able to find it."
[ooc: I hope it's alright with you if we do it in two seperate threads so it'll be two different interactions? If it's not just let me know and I'll change it. xD]
XD I don't actually care. it's totally up to you two.crayon_memoriesDecember 11 2009, 07:02:22 UTC
Namine looks up at Riku and her face breaks out into a smile. "Riku!" she calls and jumps up to greet him, grabbing the jacket she had brought.
"Here, it's on loan but should fit you. You look slightly less frozen than I was when I first arrived." her eyes dance amused, because he would know what she normally wore, and how 'practical' that was for the snow.
"I'm glad you did. Although I didn't doubt you. You seem to have a good sense of direction," she giggles and adds, "or at least you seemed pretty adept at getting around while blindfolded."
Okies, just checking to make sure! x)dawnsguardianDecember 11 2009, 07:19:51 UTC
"Thanks." He was thankful for the jacket, taking it from her carefully and slipping it on, instantly glad for it's warmth against his bare arms. His jeans and sneakers were suited for the weather, but the shirts he had chosen definitely weren't.
He's silent for a moment at her words, unsure if he should take it as the compliment she more than likely meant it as and let it roll of his back, or ignore it. But in the end, ignore something wouldn't make it go away.
^^ totally. do you care if it's closed or not?crayon_memoriesDecember 11 2009, 08:39:10 UTC
She smiles "That makes sense." She says nodding. She looks up at Riku and then examines him; her eyes doing a check to make sure that he's all in one piece.
"It's so great to see you again." she finally says. "You-you. Not...Him-you." She blushes slightly and looks down, brushing some hair out of her face.
"Do you want to go somewhere a little warmer?" She asks him.
Nope, doesn't matter to me! :)dawnsguardianDecember 12 2009, 01:01:01 UTC
Her words bring a smile to his face, as well as the rosiness he could see forming on her cheeks that didn't seem to be entirely from the cold. He was used to being able to make people blush, it was something that he was good at, either with his words or with the way he looked at them. But he had a feeling her blush was because of something different.
"You didn't expect to stay like that forever, did you? I mean, look at me. Could I really pass up looking like this for the rest of my life?" His smile turned slightly cocky as he crossed his arms over his chest, almost forgetting about her question. "Sure. Let's get you in out of this cold."
Namine laughs out right at that. "Riku! Were you always so silly!?" she asks through her laughter. "but I suppose you couldn't pass up looking like for the rest of your life." her eyes dance with amusement as she laughs.
She takes his hand and indicates the direction of her cabin. "That's where I've been staying, all...few hours that I've been here." she grins up at him. "shall we?"
Her hand was warm as it wrapped around his, and for a moment the movement reminded of something Kairi would do. Taking his or Sora's hand and leading them to where ever it was that she wanted them. He was used to going along with her whims.
Smiling, he cocked his head slightly, turning in the direction of the cabin she was pointing at. "Well then, guess I better check it out and make sure it's safe." His attention turns back to her, his own hand squeezing hers reassuringly. "Lead the way."
Namine nods her head and leads him along; talking all the while.
"Roxas was here not to long ago, he helped me build a fire in the fireplace so the Cabin is pretty warm. I've meet several different people since arriving here. It's really amazing they were all so nice to me! I've never meet so many different people; much less had them ALL be so nice."
She opens the Cabin door and walks in; shutting it after Riku enters. "here we are!" she says waving a hand around the room and then standing nearby and smiling up at him.
"I'm not sure if I'm going to live here. I've gotten a few offers of places to live from others and I really don't want to be alone..." she says glancing around the cabin. "but it is a nice place for the time being." she shrugs.
He took a moment to make sure that the door was closed tightly and locked securely behind once they were safely inside, thankful for the warmth of the cabin. It was a nice place, he would have to agree with her, his bright green eyes scanning the small room they were standing in carefully.
Her words stop him, however, causing his eyes to land back on her, a curious gleam forming in them. He could understand why she wouldn't want to be alone. After everything that had happened in order for Sora's memories to come back together and be reformed, it would have surprised him is she had wanted to be anything less.
"I could stay here with you." The offer was made with a small smile, letting her know that he understood, and that he would stay with her, making sure she wasn't alone. It would be a small favor in return for what she had done for Sora, and for him and Kairi. "You shouldn't be alone, anyway."
Namine looks up at him half startled, half smiling. "thanks Riku. I'd, like that." She takes his hand again and give it a small squeeze. She wasn't sure how to express her feelings about him wanting to stay with her and make sure that she wasn't alone; but she thought that the hand squeeze was a good place to start.
"I haven't really had a chance to explore the place. I wasn't planning on staying so I didn't see the point. Um, would you like to explore with me? Since, it looks like we're staying." She is still holding his hand in both of hers and looks slightly uncertain. She had spent time with him during her year of restoring Sora's memories; but never for something as extended as living together.
He offers a small smile of his own, the squeeze of his hand felt and appreciated. It was a small gesture, but one that was still acknowledged. He wasn't used to physical affection, at least not any more. It has been a long time since he had allowed himself to be around the people he cared about. He imagined that Kairi would change that once he got back home. After she got done yelling at him for taking off again without warning anyone.
"Yeah. Let's check it out." It would be nice to at least make sure that the cabin was going to suit their needs before they decided weather or not to stay there, or weather it would be more appropriate to find a more suitable place.
you don't mind if I make a layout of the house do you? ^^;;crayon_memoriesDecember 16 2009, 08:46:19 UTC
Namine nods her head and leads him around the house. On the ground floor they find a bathroom, kitchen/dinning room and a small room that was empty; in addition to the front sitting room. Finding the stairs She leads him up them. There is another bathroom and three bedrooms.
Entering the last room, a bedroom; she turns and looks at Riku. "Well, it seems nice enough." she admits with a shy smile meaning the house in general; not just the room they were currently in.
"Dusty, but that's easily fixed." she adds looking at the foot prints they had made when walking though the house.
Not at all! <3dawnsguardianDecember 16 2009, 14:32:17 UTC
The house was nice enough, he thought, looking around the room carefully. This room and the last had been about the same size, and would make good bedrooms for the both of them. There was a bed, dresser and table in each, but they were both otherwise barren of sheets and much needed things for every day living.
They would have to see about fixing that, and about getting some cleaning supplies for the house.
"Do you want to take this room and I'll take the one down the hall?" He asked, thankful that the two larger bedrooms were on opposite ends of the house. It would give them both their own space, but would be close enough to remind them that they weren't alone.
Namine nods her head "That sounds fine," she agrees and explores her room some. She makes a mental list of the things the room will need and then walks back into the hall.
"Hey Riku?" she calls having lost track of him in her investigation.
"Yeah?" He had heard her easily, quickly moving to stick his head out of the door, silver hair forming a halo around his head in the bright, winter afternoon sunlight. "What? Loose your way and need me to come find you?"
is he outside? >for some reason very confused<crayon_memoriesDecember 17 2009, 19:53:55 UTC
Namine stares at him for a moment dazzled by the image the light made on his hair. Then his words register and she laughs. "Oh thanks a lot Riku." she teases him shaking her head. "Nice to know what you think of my sense of direction." She smiles at him letting him know she was joking.
More seriously she adds, "No, I was actually thinking about the things the house, Mansion will need. I noticed a message that we got on the Dreamberry's and was thinking of checking it out." With that she walks over to him and fiddles around until Tom Nook's message plays. She watches Riku closely and when it's over she tilts her head in question.
Fighting off a small shiver, he places a small smile on his face as bright green eyes land on her, sitting peacefully by the fountain.
