There was light. Light and fire and three voices crying, or maybe laughing. In the end, it was all the same, and the light spread fast, burning brighter and sweeter, engulfing everything. The time for the world to burn was at hand.
Then it was gone, sudden and abrupt, a cold rush replacing the burning.
There was no fire, nothing brightly burning in his veins. There were no voices. There was nothing.
When there was something again, it was something else entirely. Kefka opened his eyes, head tilting to the side as he took in his surroundings.
A world unbroken.
For now.
Magic danced under his skin as he slowly began to smile.
