[Boris wasn't sure whether to be grateful or irritated by this renewal of his instincts. Sure, the need to chase things was refreshing! ... but by now, it had intensified to the point he would chase a leaf in hopes he could catch it before it reached the ground. He'd gone around Espoir chasing after a rat. And he was avoiding the canals because he knew if he caught sight of a fish, he knew he'd dive in right after it.
And yet here he was, using that bizarre teleportation method of his, opening one of his magical pink doors and stepping out. He hoped he picked some sort of uninhabited area to visit, because he just knew if someone came running by (or even walking, at this rate) he'd give chase.]
