He brings with him, of course, flowers, lightly fragrant. Gender biases were ever so prominent in his choice of gift, but it's the way he was raised, I'm afraid. And of course, a most interesting book, hidden in the folds of his clothing. He might bring it up later, if they had time -- the girl seemed to him to have a schedule of her own, and perhaps whatever that will take place today would keep him interested for a little while. If only to give respite to the boredom that had long since settled in.
Upon reaching his destination, he knocks a soft, rapping knock, steps back, and waits.]
