A roar ripped through the silence of Espoir as a motorbike raced down the uneven path, leaving a trail of dust at its wake. Travis revved the engine a few more times, shifting his weight backward so the front wheel would jump off the ground for a few seconds. It had been a while since he felt this kind of thrill. Without Schpeltiger around, he had to make do with one of the abandoned motorcycles around the city. Lucky for him, the keys were still in the ignition and he didn't have to hot wire the vehicle to get it running.
He made it to the field in record time, skidding to a stop and kicking up dirt with it. He looked around, trying to spot that man in the eyepatch from yesterday. It looked like he was the first one to arrive. Can't say he was used to waiting for his battle to come to him. It usually was the other way around.
Turning off the ignition, he got off his bike and leaned on it. The expression on his face was bored and his stance told the same story but that was probably going to change if this man was going to put up as good a fight as Abel or that kid he fought back at the bookstore. At least those two kept him entertained long enough. This guy really better be worth it.
