Sera hadn't stopped running all the way from the residential district to the base. She just didn't want to stop. There was a huge smile on her face and it wasn't faltering, no matter what happened. The pure joy she was feeling had her practically skipping all the way home.
Just why was she so excited that her energy had just gone through the roof? She had only gone out for a walk to look around at all of the new changes that the Overlord had made to the city. She couldn't keep her eyes on just one thing. So much about the city was different! However, when she had finally gotten to the residential district, she found something that she couldn't help but stop and stare at. A huge lake, with a sandy shore... All that she could do was stand there and stare, as the excitement slowly bubbled and boiled up inside her, until she squealed in delight with a huge grin. It wasn't the actual ocean, but it was close enough!
So now, here she was, bursting through the doors of the base and excitedly looking around to see if her other comrades were home. She couldn't wait to find them. This was something that she had always wanted to share with them again, and she had been starting to think they would never get the chance.
