Kohane lay on the ground, taking in deep breaths and staring at the sky, Dreamberry in her hand. She knew she'd died, she could feel it, but what mattered at the moment was that she was alive again. And now, she had to pay the price: The clouds, which should've looked far away, seemed as close to her as the trees she could see and everything else. Slowly, she moved her hand in front of her face, only notice that she couldn't tell how far from her eyes it was either.
Breathing in deeply, she closed her eyes. Her sight wasn't of much use to her right now, and it was a struggle to keep them open. She felt tired, more tired than she could ever remember feeling. Still, she was somewhat afraid to fall asleep, out of the worry that she wouldn't wake up again, for whatever reason. So, instead, she stayed awake.
She knew she should probably call someone for help, but right now, she didn't have the energy for that. All of it was being spent on just staying awake and trying to keep her thoughts clear.
Is it over? she wondered. She couldn't sense any monsters nearby, but that didn't mean they were no longer here. She could only hope they weren't, and that her friends were still safe.
