He sighs.
Asking C.C. her opinion before he sent that text message to Kallen would probably have been better. However, this was obviously the best situation, as undesirable as it might be. He just couldn't have let her stay there and end up getting injured as a result of his actions.
He looks back at Kallen and offers a strained smile.]

She cast a hooded glance to Lelouch from the corner of her eye, well aware of his discomfort. She could read him like a book, and she knew now that he was regretting this, no matter how much he would have felt bad should he not have helped.
The urge to snarkily comment on this situation with her typical sarcasm rang up in her throat, but she felt it best that they were best to break this silence themselves. Besides, why do it when someone else can? ]

She catches Lelouch's strained smile. Right--how to react? She humors him with a brief upturn of the lip, then settles back in her chair and folds her arms. Her face eventually settles into more of an annoyed purse, and her eyes flick between the two of them.

[Including getting trapped with such awkward company.]

[He glanced briefly at Kallen and then to C.C., giving her a look]
As long as we stay as safe as possible. I don't want either of you getting hurt.
[Lelouch's mind was a mess right now, but his mask was that of the cool and composed young man he usually showed to the public. He didn't know how much longer he could take this...]

In a world where nothing is in our favor, good luck finding something out.
[re-crosses her legs, raising an eyebrow to Lelouch's comment, a faint smirk on her face]
At this moment, we can't even leave the basement. I think I'll be just fine.

I… did fine looking after myself for a long time before you showed up, Lelouch.
A-anyway, I think it is a good idea to figure out what we can about this place.

Well, there have to be some other people who know at least more than we do.
[She glares at Lelouch.]
And it was your idea to "find something out."

Perhaps you should start screaming her name? Maybe she'll come down and hear you.
