Yoh was feeling moderately better, considering that two healers, a witch and a doctor had come to his aid. The leg that had been broken was still hurting like a bitch and there was a throbbing ache behind his eyes that made it difficult for him to see straight, but at least he could breath and walk. The unsettling sensation tightening his chest was worse than any of the pain his sister had inflicted on him before running off alone.

Why, Minatsuki? He just didn't understand her reasoning. Didn't she know that pushing him away was futile? It didn't matter if they were worlds away or towns away, Yoh would always find Minatsuki and protect her, even if it meant giving up his life. He had made a promise on that day that their mom died. As he stared into his sister's seemingly innocent eyes, he knew something was wrong. Something that he didn't have the capacity to understand. But he had decided that he would be responsible for Minatsuki, no matter what happened. The chances of her facing Heat alone and winning were slim to none. The

Shiro's attidude did a complete turn when she heard Yoh's voice. Bolting up right and pretty much jumping onto the blonde boy. "Yohhhh!! Shiro found Shiro okay!! We can go find Mina now!"

She paused in the midst of her blabbering and did a bit of a double take over Yoh's body which was completely different from when she had found him earlier. Her red eyes widened in surprise, before it bloomed into a grin as she smothered him in a hug again.

"Yoh all better! Shiro knew people in Somarium good people! Yoh should thank people, did Yoh thank people? People always thank people at end of Aceman!"

Yoh nearly threw the girl off when she jumped at him, but instead of resorting to violence or yelling at her, he suffered through her ridiculous behavior by holding his tongue and limiting his show of annoyance to a simple eye roll. "Ouch. Be careful, will ya? I just had my bones mended and my wounds closed. Do you want to reopen them?"

He sighed, his eyes shifting to the darkness surrounding them. His tone dropped a few octaves as a grave expression overcame his features. "Still no luck, huh?"

At the mention of causing harm to the boy again, Shiro let go of him herself and stood back, her mood dampening only at the mention of how the search for Minatsuki had failed.

"Shiro look everywhere, but couldn't find Mina." She paused and extracted her own Dreamberry mindlessly playing with some of the buttons to keep her occupied. Her thoughts trailed back to when she had searched the flower shop thinking to maybe ask Audrey if he had seen the girl, but the plant had been asleep and nothing she had tried seemed to wake him.

"Maybe Yoh can think of places Mina is that Shiro can't. Yoh special person to Mina after all."

Some special person he was. She didn't even trust him enough to come to him when she was in trouble. Instead, she had chosen someone inhuman, someone she'd barely known for more than a couple of months. And as much as Yoh tried to think back, he couldn't recall upsetting her or disappointing her. Or doing anything to make her want to pull away from him. He had believed her when she said she could trust only him and that she could be herself around only him. But she had lied to even him. In the end, he had meant just as much to her as everyone else

"Why would Mina do that though?" Shiro asked as she started off in the direction where Yoh had pointed. Despite getting to know Minatsuki through her time here, Shiro was still concrete in her opinion about the girl being one of the most wonderful people she had ever met.

Things were simple and straight forward in Shiro's mind, and this whole thing about Minatsuki going missing didn't make sense. They were friends and in Shiro's mind, friends didn't leave without telling anyone.

"It's a long story," he answered, leaving it at that. "Think of it as a game of hide and seek. If we win, we get to enjoy lots of candy and ice cream." Hopefully that would give the girl a bit of motivation. The sooner they found her, the sooner he could figure out what the hell was going on in her head.

Yoh took off, moving quickly out into the middle of nowhere. He wasn't all that familiar with the village, but he hoped she would go there because less people would be able to find her. Of course, not knowing for sure was creating a bit more apprehension than he would have liked. Why did she have to be so stubborn all the damn time? Too bad Shiro was only brute strength. It would have been nice to embark on this journey with someone who harbored even an ounce of intelligence.

Yoh frowned. Still, it was better this way. Better not to get the others involved. He would find her. He always found her. And he would save her.
