As he waited, Raven busied himself by making himself some cider. He wasn't sure why he enjoyed the drink as much as he was. Perhaps it was because of the cold.

He then leaned against the back counter and tried to guess who would be the first one to arrive. And also hoped no psychos will pop in. Last thing he needed was to clean up a giant mess.

Or a hole in the wall.

"Hey!" Kitchel arrived first, eager to get started, and sat on the end of one of the tables. "Any new ideas about the journal? You've still got it, right?"

Enter the grumpy redhead! Asch looks exceptionally relieved to be at the tavern, though it may have something to do with the fact that he doesn't have his new shadow named Haruhi with him today.

"Hey, Raven, Kitchel," he greeted them both, taking a seat. "And here I thought I'd be early."

Raven grinned at the two. He knew one of them would have shown up first.

"Well, ya can still consider yerself early," he said. "And don't worry, I still have the goods."

Zelos wander in about five minutes later, a rather grumpy look on his face, and partially covered in snow. Grumbling he pulled off the cape he had on, sitting down on one of bar stools. "Can I have some of that, old man?" he asked, pointing towards the cider. Never mind what he had dragged himself through the snow for, oh no. He wanted that nice hot drink they had.

Raiden, as he had promised to Raven days ago via Dreamberry, silently stalked in like a ninja and settled in a back corner, pausing to remove his sheathed high-frequency blade from his hip and placing it against the wall for safekeeping. He was here to listen and to scout out more information. Any information about this place could be useful, after all...

Rita stomped in looking like she was about to kill something. She shook off the snow and walked over to the table. She took off her coat and dropped behind her chair after she took a seat. "This better be something important old man..." She grumbled.

"Well, well," Raven grinned as more people filed in. "Looks like I'm gatherin' quite the crowd. Make yerselves comfortable!"

And at Zelos' request, Raven grinned and poured him a mug before handing it to him. "Here ya go, kid."

Well this will certainly be interesting to say the least.

[ooc: WTF WHHHYYY DID I DO THIS THIS IS GONNA BE CRAAAZY. No posting order, just...tag if you feel like your character would say something xD And it's okay if more than one person replies to the same tag. Next person just reply to the later one *shoots self*]

((OOC: Stop emoing.))

And Guy entered, carrying a small bag in which was...random things he found. Nothing too important, really.

He gave a nod and a "Hey." to the people he recognized...which was mostly Raven, as despite having encountered Raiden they hadn't really done much aside from having a tense Mexican stand-off in the snow. (This might be retconned.) He paused upon seeing the famed Zelos, the guy he'd heard so much about but hadn't really encountered: Zelos was like the unicorn, mythical and magical, but ultimately just a horse with a horn on its head.

And on seeing Asch, Guy hesitated, momentarily, before shaking his head and taking a spot in the back, a decent distance from the redhead. He wasn't going to start something if Asch didn't.

Klavier wandered into the tavern, hands in the pockets of his jacket. He didn't really know what was going on but from outside, it looked like this was the place to be right now. The blond was growing rather attention starved.

He noticed Raiden off in the corner almost right away, waving over to the cyborg before looking around for anyone else he might recognize.

Asch didn't look at Guy, not ready to speak to him yet. Instead, he switched his seat so he was next to Zelos, elbowing the other redhead in a teasing manner.

Upon Klavier's entrance, he raised his hand in greeting, giving him a small nod.

"How'd the guitar hunt go?"

"So can we start already? Who else are we waiting for?" Kitchel asked, starting to grow impatient and looking pointedly at Raven. "We can't just sit around forever."

"I agree... Hurry up old man! You're wasting my time!" Rita crossed her arms immaturely and glared daggers at the old archer.

"Hey! Just makin' sure we don't get too ahead of ourselves," Raven sighed. Kids. Always so impatient to get things started.

He walked pulled up a chair and sat near the middle of the area before pulling out the object in question.

"This my friends," Raven said with a somewhat pompous flair as he held up the journal, "is what the lovely Kitchel and I found during our trek into the desert. And as you can see," the old man continued as he held open a page and moving it around for all of them to see, "it's not exactly understandable."

Zelos ribbed Asch back, rolling his eyes as he took a sip of the nice warm cider, settling down to listen to what the old man had to say. This should prove to answer maybe a few questions about this strange world they were in, if anything.

Asch blinked at the page; that certainly wasn't the Fonic Language or Ancient Ispanian. Well, admittedly, some symbols looked kinda like it, as both languages and what ever language this was written in were sort of symbol based, but definitely wasn't anything like he had seen.

"Did this place have it's own language before everyone suddenly vanished?"
