It was a foolish thing to do. Bat knew this even as he swooped in closer to the Embryon's location. They were always traveling in groups, and they'd been lucky to find a time Heat had been out on his own. They were also going to be angry, and his face was the last they would want to see.
Heat wasn't with them (Of course he wasn't, he was DEAD, but the Dreamberry...) and they seemed to be heading back to the scene of the crime. He'd have to intervene, then. He wasn't going to let them discover Minatsuki.
Angering them would require only his presence. "What are you looking for, Embryon?" He swooped down with a laugh. "I thought it was obvious there was nothing to find."
