Hours of fruitless searching. They knew that Heat had gone into the desert, and Sera had pinpointed Heat as being somewhere in the city when he had disappeared. It wasn't much to go on. Which was why his demon form was a blessing, for once. He crouched down to the ground and breathed deep, catching the scents of all who had passed through. Too many people--far too many.
The unfamiliar scents were distracting. He tried to focus, to conjure up Heat's scent from the multitude. Gale shifted forward a few steps in a hopping gait, again trying to sniff out Heat. Perhaps Vayu's sense of smell simply wasn't strong enough to pick Heat's trail out of so many others.
"Argilla, Roland...you try."
