Chopper was lost. What had initially seemed like a really fun place to explore, where the rest of the crew must have been waiting for him, was turning out to be deserted. He was getting more and more scared as he went on, all the while calling out sniffing to try and catch a familiar scent with no luck.

But just when he was about to call out again, he heard Sanji's voice. He quickly ran (in reindeer form, of course) in the direction the voice was coming from, happy to not be alone. "Sanji!"

Chopper > Sanji > Rita Until Chopper sniffs out the shitty marimo? XDd blacklegcook July 17 2009, 13:12:54 UTC
"Chopper?" Incredulously Sanji stared at the little reindeer. If he was here that meant that Shitty-Shichibukai had taken another one of his comrades. At the time Chopper had transformed into his monster point, and it surprised the cook that even something as enormous as Chopper had become, was still no match for Kuma's attack.

"If you're here, where are the others?! Nami-san...Robin-chan?" If that bastard had hurt them...

Hurt..."Shit, Chopper, this lady here--" he indicated to the woman, "She's hurt."

Okay, not only was he weird, he was also persistent. The moment she tells him not to call her 'miss', he drops it favor of 'lady', which wasn't at all much better. It uncomfortably reminded her of the strange, stilted speech that knights were accustomed to, which really didn't match outward image at all. His clothing, at the very least, did not resemble anything like knight armor. Speaking of which, however, if he wasn't a knight and didn't recognize her, then what the hell had he been doing at Baction?

She opened her mouth as though to speak, when he turned away abruptly. Her mouth snapped shut when her eyes caught sight of a... A monster? But it talked. So, an entelexeia? But it was so... so small. Did entelexeia even come this small? She had an impression that most of them were as large as ships (or in the case of Ba'ul, mountains.).

"What the hell?" She was stumped. "Just. Do you two know each other, or something?" Okay, stupid question. Obviously, they knew each other. 'Sanji' and 'Chopper'. Who's ever heard of an Entelexeia ( ... )

"I don't know where anyone else is, you're the first person I found..."

But when Sanji mentioned that Rita was hurt, the young reindeer's eyes widened. "If she's hurt then we need to find her a doctor!"

A bead of sweat rolls down his cheek at that.

"Oi...Chopper..." He cast an apologetic look towards the lady before trying to calm his friend. "You are the doctor!" Okay, so he couldn't quite hold back the natural urge to snap. Yet traveling together with one another made it a normal and natural occurrence.

"Ah haha...This is our ship's doctor, Miss--" He'd yet to get her lovely name, still he continued, "Don't worry, despite looks he's actually really good at what he does." At least she didn't shriek and call him a monster. "Just let him know where your wounds are, if the young lady needs to hold my hand through it all, I'd be more than happy to.~"

"Wait, that thing's a doctor?!" Okay, that just... That just couldn't be. Not at all. Being so... small and so... non-human-looking, it didn't exactly give her a vote confidence in his favor. Still, she knew better than anyone that appearances could be deceiving - but they couldn't be this deceiving, right? No, for her own sanity, she wasn't about to let that thing get anywhere near her wounds, let alone treat them. Despite the 'Sanji's' reassurance that the thing really did know what he was doing, on what basis was she supposed to trust his words anyhow? He had a freakin' curl on his eyebrow. She wasn't about to trust anyone with such weird facial hair.

"Why the hell would I need to hold your hand? Don't even joke." She said, disgusted. "What is he supposed to be, anyway? Some kind of a stuffed animal, or something?" Close enough. It was too much trouble to think it over at this point. First things always came first, and that was treating her wounds. She sat down heavily, uncaring of the state of the ground, and pulled out a satchel ( ... )

Sanji's reminder calmed Chopper down, and he moved closer to Rita to start looking her over. He was about to speak when she had her outburst, though, and that quickly put a stop to anything he was about to say. He had gotten used to being called a monster, but that didn't stop it from bothering him. He did look over at Sanji when she offered him some bandages, though, and noticed the cook's injuries.

"You shouldn't be out here like that, you'll get hurt even worse! You know you're supposed to rest when you're hurt, not wander around!" He knew it was probably a futile effort to even try to get Sanji to stop when this girl was injured, given how stubborn all of his nakama were, but he still couldn't help try to get him to cooperate. Thinking about it, though, he couldn't really figure out why Sanji was hurt in the first place, but it wasn't really important at the moment.

A small frown marred his mouth at her outburst. It was a strange combination of wanting to please her and wanting to stick up for Chopper. "His name is, Chopper, Miss." If he placed a hand a top the little reindeer's head that was neither here nor there. It was just so he had something to lean on for now since his leg was aching from standing so long.

He wanted her to take the aid, but forcing her was not his way, instead he took the bandages, taking pleasure at least at getting to touch her fingers if only for a short moment. Finally he sat down across from her, perhaps if she saw how good Chopper was at his job she'd reconsider.

"Thanks for the bandages; you still have yet to grace me with your name, miss." He sent a charming grin her way. (well, charming in his mind at least. "Chopper, help me for a minute. You're better at this crap than me." He handed over the bandages to the little reindeer while he waited for her reply.

She paused. Her eyes darted to him and back. A reaction, there was definitely a reaction. If she hadn't imagined it (and she couldn't have, who the hell do they think she is?), there had been a small frown sandwiched between smiles. But to what? Was it something that she had said? Or an action? ... his next words - the emphasis was on 'Chopper'.

Ah, she was starting to get a picture of this guy.

"... Whatever." She sniffed, turning away. One of those kind of people, huh. If this had been a year ago, maybe she would have insulted him. But, it was hard to get the taste of friendship out of one's mouth once one has had a taste. Pulling out her own bandages, she peeled back her sleeve, and began wrapping the cut on her arm with practiced movements. Dammit. Ever since she left Aspio, she's gotten too good at wrapping these things ( ... )

Chopper was glad for Sanji's standing up for him, and the hand helped a lot too. So for now he just took the bandages and set to work fixing Sanji up, staying quiet for the moment.

He watched Chopper work with a thoughtful look for a moment, his free hand pulled out his crumpled pack of cigarettes, teeth latching to the butt before reaching back in for his lighter.

"It's only fair that we get to know yours madam, if only so we could thank you properly for the bandages." He threw another winning smile towards her, hoping to endear her to them (well okay him mainly, but Chopper needed it too.)

A slow pull of a now lit cigarette helped ease the tension he didn't realize he had from all the shit they'd been through on Shabondy. "As for your other question, neither of us are from around this shitty place. I was hoping you would know actually, miss."

Okay, was he trying to piss her off? She's just told him to stop calling her that, and he does it, what, twice in three sentences? Well, she would have popped a vein that that just gone ahead and fried him if it wasn't for that sparkle-ridden smile that sent shivers down the line of her spine. There was just something very infuriating about a guy who just wouldn't take a hint... Though in hindsight, she had a role in this as well. He was probably substituting in her withheld name with random titles to get by. It probably came naturally to him, given what little she's seen of his personality. It reminded of an unholy cross between Flynn and, well. No, she wasn't going to go there either. Though the irony of the fact that she didn't get along with either did not escape her ( ... )

Chopper continued working in silence; he still wasn't too comfortable with Rita, and taking care of Sanji was much more important. He kept listening, though, ready to interject if he needed to.

Chopper~ if you want you can smell the marimo at your next post. :3 blacklegcook July 18 2009, 00:33:40 UTC
None of what she said sounded familiar in the least. Baction? Where the hell was that anyway? Was that part of the Grand Line, or had that bastard actually sent them to the New World? He gave an inward scoff at the notion, why would a shit-bastard like a Shichibukai do such a thing, there was no gain in it, if anything that would be like helping them instead ( ... )

"Of course you're not from Baction, stupid. You can't come from a place like that." Okay, so the guy didn't know his geography. Or at least his ancient ruin lore. Baction was a damn forgotten shrine in the middle of nowhere. You couldn't 'come' from a place like that. Though... It seems that she didn't know her geography all to well either. The way he fired off those random place names, she's never heard of any of them (and she would have remembered if there was place as stupidly named as 'Shabondy Archipelago' on Terca Lumieres.) Though... The mentioning of an archipelago got her thinking. A chain of islands? He was on the ocean? Then why the hell was he here, then? He couldn't have possibly gotten to Baction when he didn't even know what the hell the place was-

... How could she have been so stupid?

There wasn't a factor that stated that they had been transported to this location through Baction. In fact, Baction wasn't the tying factor here at all. The common variable was that they had all been transported here. How and what were ( ... )

Shabondy? That didn't sound familiar at all, but before Chopper could say anything about it Sanji was beyond listening to him. He made sure he wasn't in any possible range of attack before going back to bandaging Sanji up.

...Or, at least, he was about to bandage him up when he caught another familiar scent. "Sanji, Zoro's here!" He looked up at Sanji, excited, just in time to see Rita's punch.
