Warmth, in patches. I could feel the sun's rays on me even as a soft breeze blew through the window. I rolled over to close it a bit when my hand connected with something I didn't remember being in our room.
My eyes shot open. How could I not have realized I wasn't home? The sun, the breeze, the scent of grass and forest all around me. And my hand had connected with a tree. I blinked, retracting my hand as I looked around me, pulling myself to stand.
I was in the clothing I last recalled wearing, but... the last thing I remembered was being in my room with Alice. How had I gotten out here? The worst part was that I didn't recognize any of this. I wasn't in the woods out by our home. And that was highly strange and a bit disturbing.
I licked my lips and brushed the grass and dirt from my clothes before setting along in an attempt to find my way out of these woods and possibly get an idea as to where I'd mysteriously ended up. How could I not recall traveling to a place like this? And were was Alice?
It looked as though there were a clearing up ahead. With this sun beating down through the canopy of the forest, I'd have to stay hidden here until I could figure out where I was. Cautiously, I moved to peek beyond the tree trunks. There appeared to be a lot of meadowy grass areas, and what appeared to be a church or chapel in the distance. That was highly unfamiliar. I wasn't completely aware that my gold eyes widened ever so slightly as a slight panic began to set in. I stood frozen there, conflicted. Should I attempt to go and ask someone about this place?
More importantly... Could I control myself around a crowd of people? I was pretty sure I could, but without Alice...
