Upon awaking slumped over in the streets of a village much like her home, Rue was rather confused. A survey of her surroundings told her that this was not her home, which raised even more questions, as she had never left the town she'd grown up in before.
"Where am I?" the raven-haired girl wondered aloud, brushing the dirt off of her gray blouse and skirt.
She began nervously wandering a bit farther from the spot she'd awoke in and started searching for someone who could tell her where she was so that she could possibly figure out exactly how she got there, half-expecting to see the Raven or his crows at every turn.
