Too bad Asch was in the back. Otherwise he would have had the pleasure to see a rather bundled up Raven open the door. He had around, oh, three sweaters, a vest, and a looong trench coat on with about three scarves, earmuffs, and gloves.

And he was carrying a bag.

"H-Hey Asch!" Raven called out as he walked into the store before stopping, raising a brow. Now, he really had never imagined Asch to be the kind of guy to do this sort of thing but when he heard about it. Well. How could he not resist?

Especially when he had some things from a recent desert excursion that needed to be fixed.

Still. This was a bit surprising. And different.

"I'm back here!" Asch's voice came from the back room. "C'mon back, Raven."

"Makin' me do more walkin'...what kind of customer service is this!" Raven called back with a mock whine as he made his way to the back door, opening it.

A blast of warmth hit Raven in his frigid face as soon as he opened the door, thanks to a large heater and a stove going in a small kitchenette off to the side. The back of the store was pretty neat, considering how many bolts of fabric and spools of threads there were all over the place. Asch was sitting at a desk, some papers with child-like drawings of clothes strewn about (obviously, art was not his strong point) that were largely being ignored as he worked on putting the finishing touches on a shirt.

"Hey, be glad I let you back here at all, old man," he teased, not looking up from his work.

Raven chuckled as he set down his bag and started removing a scarf or two and his big jacket.

"Looks like ya got quite the setup back here. Really never woulda pegged ya to do this though."

Asch let out an amused noise, ending off the thread he was working with and cutting it free, before shaking out the new shirt, inspecting it carefully.

"Yeah, well, with all the crazy people around this place, someone needed to," he replied, tugging experimentally at the seams, before he finally glanced up at him. "How's your wounds?"

"Still a little sore, but they're healin' fine. Might have a scar on the side though." Not that he never had any of those before. They've just healed over time.

"I came to give ya a job, actually," Raven said as he held out the bag to Asch. "They got a bit torn up so it's about time they were fixed. Cleaned them, though."

"Oh ho...?" he asked, setting the bag down on the table and pulling out the contents... before he frowned. "'A bit torn up'. Raven, you are the master of the understatement."

Still, he shuffled around in a bin full of thread stools, trying to match the color of the shirt he grabbed.

"Hey, I couldn't help it!" Raven sighed as he pulled up a chair and sat in it backwards, crossing his arms across the top of the seat. "Got nibbled on by this ant lion, then got almost chewed on by a desert shark..and then almost eaten by one..."

Asch let out an amused noise, settling back to work. "And you accuse me of being danger prone. Maybe it's you that really has the bad luck."

"Well better me than Kitchel, I guess. If she had gone out on her own, she wouldn't have come back."

Raven mused for a bit before sighing. "Maybe I'm just attractin' people who have bad luck."

A slow, sly grin appeared on Asch's face.

"Perhaps we should test that theory, hm?" he asked.

"Thanks but no thanks, Asch," Raven said warily, recognizing that look.

"Whaaaaaat?" he asked teasingly, his expression almost evil. "Afraid to go back out there? I promise I'll protect you, Papa Raven."

"It probably gets even colder at night out there. I ain't goin'. You younguns can get yerselves killed on yer own," Raven said stubbornly, giving Asch a look.

"And stop callin' me that!"

"So we go during the day," Asch replied, that smug smirk plastered to his face. "Besides, whatever would you do if us younguns went off and left you all alone to worry, Papa."
