Alice was wrapped in a sweater and a scarf plus jeans, looking very much like her title of 'little freak'. She was still very paranoid about the whole exposure to the sun. She figured sparkling skin in the sun would be a little off putting.
Not to mention she wanted to cover up the slight mess she had made on her shirt from hunting just a few minutes before. She managed to find a couple rabbits but nothing huge. Her hunger was satiated and she had some time to think about the whole Edward/Estelle situation. After their talk, she felt a little better about it all but it was still a lot to take in. Things were different, but it wasn't a bad different.
Alice felt guilty about the way she had acted around Estelle. And she wanted to make it up to her somehow. And by a strange coincidence, a vision hit her. Estelle and Alice colliding. Estelle falling to the ground. Alice immediately put on the brakes, just before she ran into Estelle.
Even without colliding, Estelle was startled by Alice and she nearly dropped her book. She whirled around to look at the petite vampire trying to smile despite her surprised expression:
"Oh! Alice! Hi! I....I'm sorry!!" she apologized, taking a step back as to not invade the other woman's personal space. She shifted her book in her arms, suddenly feeling awkward and nervous.
"Don't apologize! I'm the one who almost ran into you." Alice smiled at her. Alice noticed the step away and stifled a frown, wondering why Estelle was afraid of her and not Edward, unaware of Estelle's thoughts. She had to be used to the whole vampire thing.
"Oh, me? I'm..." She sighed with a faint smile, her voice lightening. "I'm doing well, better then before. And you? How are you?"
"I.....Still, I should have been looking where I was going!" she said with a sheepish smile.
"I'm...all right!" she said, smiling a bit more. "I'm glad to hear that you are feeling better. I know how....overwhelming getting in this world can be. I.....if there is something I can do to help you feel more at home, please let me know!" she said, hoping deep within herself that Alice wouldn't ask for her to stop seeing Edward.
