Who: "Dist" (well, Ion, but it looks like Dist) and anyone else. Where: Somni, at the main library. Style: Either~! Status: Open. Come and make him feel even more ridiculous. :>
For a second, Ion honestly considered telling her he'd mistaken her for someone else and dashing off before she could somehow figure it out, but that seemed so dishonest, he couldn't bring himself to do it.
...even though he really wasn't proud of the current situation.
He sighed in resignation. "You do, I'm afraid." Now, how to word it. Maybe he could lead into it slowly. At least that would give her time to see that he act least behaved recognizably. "I had a bit of an... incident."
No way around it now. He would simply have to tell her outright. She deserved to know, anyway. Deep breath...
"It's Ion," he said grimly, unable to stop himself from pressing his forehead into the heel of his hand. He didn't want to see her face when she reacted. "I was careless and I used a Dreamberry card that swapped by body with Dist's."
For some reason, it was so much worse having to tell someone in person, maybe because they could see him and get the full effect.
At least Anise's horror had been a little better, but maybe that had been because Anise had known Dist beforehand. The man's reputation wasn't exactly shining.
"Oh, not very long." Hopefully reassurance would make her stop fretting over him. It really wasn't so bad, after all... sans the awkwardness. He tried to smile for her, but was concerned the lipstick made it look creepy. "Please don't worry about it. It was my own fault to begin with, and I feel terrible for dragging someone else into it."
Dist hadn't exactly been thrilled about being unable to access much of his own fontech, or being stuck as a srs fail shota fourteen year old.
"No, the fault is not yours. As with Guy, I am certain that scanning the card was forced upon you against your will." she nodded but gently touched his shoulder, "Is this why you have not been coming home?"
"I've been home," Ion admitted awkwardly, "but mostly just when I thought you wouldn't." It felt like such a dishonest thing to be relaying to the person he had been avoiding, but she might as well know. He waved a tome at her guiltily. "I've been trying to absorb all of my time with these, but I eventually ran out of new ones to read."
Saber was always reasonable with him, but was slightly concerned about what she might say if she knew that, yeah, it really was all his fault. Directly.
"I see...there is no reason for you to be uneasy about returning home. This world has all sorts of strange cards that alter ones state." She was still frightened that it seemed possible to switch ones body with another.
"At the very least...it is good that you still remain the same gender." at this point, she didn't doubt those cards existed to.
"That's true." It was more a matter of looking and sounding a little too, uh, fabulous for his tastes that made him uneasy about being Dist. "I imagine there are cards worse than this, but I'm starting to think I'd rather not know their functions."
"I certainly hope so. I doubt Dist is any happier about it than I am." He smiled slightly. "It seems like things like this keep happening all around you. You must have good luck to have avoided it yourself for this long."
"Do not remind me..." she sighed and did her best to not think about all the things that had happened to her friends. It was just wonderful luck that she had not yet gotten caught up in such an unfortunate event. But now that he had mentioned it...
"I only hope it will continue to remain in my favor."
"I do, too. It's not very pleasant." He paused to consider it nonetheless. "Although... I admit I'm still morbidly curious to know if there are any cards we haven't found out about." Realizing the error in what he said, he quickly corrected himself.
"I- I won't try them, of course, but I'd like to know how many there are."
"That would indeed be valuable information..." he gently rested her hand on her chin in thought, "The only way would be to make a careful note of all changes that residents of the world undergo...but we would never know if that was all of them..." she sighed, "How troublesome..."

"There are cards that can...not only take away age but...change people's bodies?!" horrifying, "How, long have you been like this?"
