Who: Haku, whoever joins him
Where: Espoir, the fountain.
Style: Either
Status: As open as open can be.
Haku leaned against the fountain's foundation, his face calm and far away and his arms crossed. He had come here to think, although he was just musing.
From what he'd gleaned from overheard conversations, many people that he knew had gone missing. Kakashi, Naruto, Sasuke, maybe others. All gone, just like that. And the vanishings had been mostly restricted to people from his world.
He didn't know who was left except for himself. Which was something he didn't understand; why had he remained when so many others had gone? Why him?
Absently, he uncrossed his arms and propped himself up on the fountain's rim. He couldn't focus on this. He didn't understand Somarium, and musing like this on things he couldn't understand would get him nowhere. He should just be grateful that he was still here.
Then, his hand slipped slightly and lightly touched the water. Startled out of his musing, Haku glanced down at the water and stared for a moment at his feminine reflection. Then, he suddenly had an idea. A small smile lit his features.
He scooped up a bit of water from the fountain in one of his hands. Then, he concentrated his energies on the water in his hand. It was much easier than it had been ten years ago; the water froze into a piece of ice that perfectly fit the contours of his hand. He smiled again, and tossed the piece of ice into the air like a small ball, catching it with ease when it came down.
He grinned. It amazed him sometimes how easily he could amuse himself.
