The rage that surged through her body, making her blood run hot, felt remotely reminiscent to her days as Commander-in-Chief. Her brow was fixed with appropriated determination as she walked briskly to the Industrial District. She occasionally glanced down at her Dreamberry, staring at the blinking dot that was Volgin. During that time, Schwann had called her back. There had been a fleeting moment where she had considered picking up or even listening to his message, but Cornelia knew that by doing so, she would have been talked out of the hatred she felt crippling her mind and forcing her to lose sight of the woman she had become since entering Somarium. The truth of it was that she liked the sight of blood, and the smell of it on the battlefield. She had always found it unquestionably enjoyable to watch an entire city go up in flames at her will. At least, the old her did. The one before her sister’s death. The one before Schwann… Jaina…

Her jaw clenched. Was she doing this for her? Cornelia refused to believe that the current urge she felt to kill had any sort of correlation to that woman. The dream itself was cause enough for her anger. To rape a woman subconsciously and to wake from a dream such as that looking decidedly pleased with himself. Her features tightened, mouth forming a severe line as she, again, checked that she was navigating to the correct location. Jaina had called her as well. Twice, in fact. And it did little to curb her fury. Why did she suddenly care about her wellbeing? After betraying her and selfishly doing something that Cornelia did not approve of, why should her actions matter to Jaina? They didn’t affect her, and they didn’t involve her in any way. I’m not doing this for her, she told herself again.

She was well aware of how dangerous Volgin could be. And usually she wouldn’t run into a fight without knowing her enemy or his weaknesses. Cornelia was under the assumption that if she didn’t get too close to him, her gun would be sufficient enough in giving the bastard exactly what he deserved. As long as she didn’t make any form of physical contact with him, she could avoid being electrocuted. Or so she thought.

A huge building was suddenly looming in front of her, tall and weathered by what looked like years of abandonment. Cornelia’s gaze fell to the Dreamberry once more. “It says this is where he is… or at least his Dreamberry.” A building this large would make things a little more difficult. Not that she expected to run into any sort of trouble, but embedding herself in a fortress like this meant that there were less exits in proximity for escape. Not only that, but she couldn’t burst in on him and catch him by surprise as easily. If he was watching her location with his own Dreamberry, then he would be expecting her arrival. He might even have a few of his misguided lackey's waiting for her. With an impetuous sigh, Cornelia pulled on the heavy door and moved inside. As her eyes adjusted to the darkness, she found out quickly that it was some sort of factory.

Moving from room to room, she was very much on her guard. Every sound caused her to redirect her gun and as she drew closer to Volgin, she felt the stimulation from her adrenaline rush increasing. When she was just outside of the room that the Dreamberry indicated was his locality, her muscles tensed. It had been a long time since she had engaged in close combat. Normally, her fighting was limited to battles with her Gloucester. But she had been training for several laborious weeks and she knew that her strength and speed were better than they had been in a long time. Her hand moved to the knob, fingers slipping around the cool metal, and as she threw the door open, her eyes scanned the room instantly, settling on the very man that was the object of her wrath. Her gun rose immediately, swinging in his direction and she fired even before completely stepping into the room.
