Who: Bat and anyone who comes across him

Nirvana was nothing like he'd expected.
Everything was so dry, for one thing. Bits of leaves crackled underfoot, dried up from the lack of constant rain, no doubt. Bat was still rubbing at his eyes, unused to the overall brightness of his surroundings

A level, almost bored voice came from overhead... Of course this was only natural seeing as Cheshire was squatting upon one of the nearby rooftops, eying the man below with vague interest. His dark tail swung back and forth slowly a few times before curling around one of the cat-boy's legs; ears flicking in similar rhythm.
"Do you know where this place is?"
Reply
"Only that it's not where I thought it was." Not that he'd ever truly been certain where Nirvana was. That was beside the point.
It looked like the speaker was another demon - one of the sort that still looked mostly human after transforming. Bat had always wondered what the point was if you weren't going to morph completely.

"You are... Useless."

"Say that again." Camazotz's voice had an odd sort of echo, though it came from only one mouth (unlike some demons he could name). "I'll devour you whole."

"You heard Cheshire the first time. Repeating it would only be a bother... But who are you?"

Looking at him like that, though... the other man had gall.

"But 'rookie'? What is that supposed to mean?"

Not right away, anyway.
And there was nothing wrong with the name Bat! It was perfectly acceptable in the Junkyard. At least he didn't speak in third person.

"... This really must be a different dimension. Annoying."

"'Will of the Abyss?' 'Dimension?'" Did those have anything to do with the Karma Temple? Somehow he doubted it. This place looked like it could hardly even be associated with the Junkyard.

"Dimension. You know... Another world apart from wherever it is you came from? Cheshire can normally move between dimensions, but for some reason I can't leave this one. It's quite a bother..." He seemed to grow rather bored while talking and watched a passing bird with a hungry stare.

Then again, he'd missed the actual journey part of it. In fact, seeing as the last thing he remembered was being beaten by the Embryon, it was just as likely that this was a place one went to when they...
No, that couldn't be it. He still hungered. And if the Embryon showed up on the device he had, would that mean they'd died as well? Given that they were going up against Varin it was entirely possible, but...
This little demon didn't know anything more about this place than he did. That made him just as useless. He didn't like being spoken to in this way anyway. "How did you get here?" The cat-boy has one more chance to avoid being consumed.

He repeated the words in a disinterested way, ears folding back against his head as he thought. "... Like I said, I can normally travel between dimensions. Cheshire was trying to find someone earlier, but somehow Cheshire came to the wrong place."

But if the demon put up a fight it might cause a scene. He didn't know where in this place the Embryon were, and if it was somewhere nearby... "I have better things to be doing with my time," he growled before turning to hop off the roof.
