Maka was just on her way through the village that morning. She's gotten used to waking up early these days; she liked to go look at the flowers in Ino's garden, and now that Soul was here, she was out and about more than just being stuck in the library.

However, something caught her eye. She turned in the direction of the strange light, and was surprised to find the girl stumbling around like that. Something was weird; something about the girl almost felt familiar, but she couldn't put her finger on it.

She seemed to be having some trouble, Maka noticed. She took a few steps up to the girl and said, "Excuse me. Do you need any help?"

She turned and blinked, her eyes widening. "Ah..M-Maka. " She said aloud, tilting her head as her ears twitched. "I didn't expect you to be up this early.." Her expression was warm.

Maka looked taken aback by that.

"Eh? ...How do you know my name?" she asked. She never saw this girl before. Or, at least, she doesn't think she has.

She smiled softly. 'I'm Amaterasu. The white wolf you've been speaking with.'

...Oh. Well, that explained the strange feeling of deja vu.

"Eeeeeh?!" she exclaimed. "Amaterasu?" She did a double-take, and gave Ammy one glance over. "But... you're a woman now?"

Amaterasu smiled sheepishly.
"Yes, I suppose you could say that. I am a bit hard to recognize aren't I?"

Maka nodded a little. "Yeah. You seemed a little familiar somehow, but I never expected it would be you. How did this even happen...?"

This was confusing. Could it be like with a weapon, which had different forms? It was the soul, not the form, after all, that mattered. Still, this was unexpected.

"It's my real form, well at this strength anyway. I'm not at full power so..who knows what I really look like. It's been quite some time since I've been at 100%." Amaterasu said thoughtfully, her tail curling around her ankle as she sat down.

Carefully, being sure to give Ammy a good amount of personal space, she sat down next to her.

"So was that what you were trying to say before, through the Dreamberry?" she asked. "When you showed me a picture of the sun with everyone dancing around it? That it helps you regain your form?"

She smiled. "Not quite, Maka-chan. Praise, belief in gods, is what gives me my power. I need it to be at full strength, to fight against the darker things in this world. People don't really believe in gods these days though..so having people see me for who I really am is..difficult." She trailed off, eyes downcast.

"I...see." Maka watched Amaterasu for a short moment, taking that all in. It made more sense now, that was for sure. "But you've gotten enough of this 'praise' to get this form. That...must count for something, right?"

She still wasn't entirely sure how this system worked, but seeing Ammy look so down wasn't good, in her books.

She smiled softly. "Yes, I suppose. I'm grateful for each and every prayer and praise I recieve. I am rather happy when my love for people is returned. " She grinned a full fanged -smile.
