Amaterasu struggled, stumbling on her knees once before laughing sheepishly. Blinking once, she stood up, staring at the tall man with wide curious eyes. "..Y---Yeeee..Y-Yes. " She said, stumbling on human speech as she stared at him warily. Her eyes widened with recognition.

"I-I remember..you." Just like that she stumbled forward, grabbing onto his shirt sheepishly. "I-I'm so sorry...I'm not used to this.."

Amaterasu smiled gratefully. "Ah--th-thank you. " Her expression was gentle and knowing. "Yes, you spoke to me during one of my dreams. The dream where I ..." She wrinkled her nose. "Took a bath." She raised one claw and put it to her chin thoughtfully.

She smiled gently. "Yes, I'm that wolf from earlier. It's the earthly form I've been taking for a time."

She pat his shoulder on her tiptoes. "Not at all. Please don't apologize to me. You've done nothing warranting otherwise. And not so much. I..I'm not used to being human, definitely, but I need this form in order to talk. '

She seemed grateful for this, her dark eyes meeting his as she offered a small smile. "Technically I'm a god who is a person, who is taking the earthly form of a wolf. But you're on the right track, sir." She said teasingly.

She laughed at his confusion. "Please don't confuse yourself too much. You're pretty much on the spot though. I'm a god, yes. The sun god actually. " Her expression was patient, her smile gentle.

She sighed ,putting one claw to her mouth. "It's hard to explain, but I sincerely wanted to try communicating in a way that you mortals would understand. " She smiled. "I know I look a bit...strange..." Her eyes lowered demurely. "But I hope that I can become friends with you all." She clapped her hands, her eyes lit with childish warmth.

"By the way, my name is Okami Amaterasu. I have lots of names in lots of different languages, but that is the one the people I love most know me by. You can also call me Ammy if you'd like." She smiled, offering one clawed hand.
