Guilford couldn't get over everything he had heard from their conversation. There was just so many things that he didn't get at all. How did an exiled and dead prince mix in with his dream? More importantly, how did Cornelia know what he was dreaming about? It was already surprising enough that he had met Clovis, who had told him that he was no longer in their world, but in a completely different and foreign world.

His face was grim as he thought more about what Clovis has said. There was a possibility that he could be dead in his own world, presuming that there was something else that Prince Clovis has to say. If it was true though, that he was dead...No, he shouldn't think about that, it was too much for even himself to handle.

He finally realized that he had been sitting down on the floor for far too long and decided to take a good look at his surroundings once more. There was an open window that let in the moonlight, so he can see that the room wasn't that large at all. Standing up, he made his way towards the door, his hands searching for the handle. Cornelia had told him that he should go out if he could, so he tried to search for the door handle a little faster. Finally, his hands finally took grip of it, and opened the door. Perfect timing, he could see a figure coming towards his direction, and as he looked closer, looked very familiar.

Cornelia had been running down the dirt roads of Espoir, her head shifting from left to right as she glanced at each cottage, searching for a sign of life. It just so happened that her eyes detected a movement as her feet continued to carry her forward, her breath coming out in ragged gasps. Guilford? She thought, with a hopeful look in her eyes. In the darkness, it did look like a man. She slowed her pace, jogging in the direction of the figure.

It took a moment, but she saw the familiar glasses, the distinguishable dark ponytail, the Britannian uniform and the warm, calming eyes of her knight. "Guilford," she said, hurrying forward until she was just outside of the cottage. She felt completely out of breath and she stood there for a moment, pushing air through her lungs, her chest heaving up and down as she stared at him, the beginnings of a smile bending one corner of her mouth upward. "I found you."

Cornelia had a sudden urge to lunge forward and hug him. She had thought him to be dead. Even if her heart had wanted to believe that he would reappear with his usual soothing disposition, she had ignored her gut instinct and begun to believe that F.L.E.I.J.A. had taken his life. "Guilford, you..." She swallowed, her eyes glistening in the moonlight. "I'm really happy to see you," she said finally, her face lowering away from his sight.

Words cannot explain how Guilford felt. She looked far more different than when he had last saw her before he lost consciousness, but she was still as beautiful as ever.

"Princess, I'm glad you're safe" He said, his face calm and a small smile forming in his lips. He wanted to ask her questions, why was she gone, where did she go, why she ordered him to fight against Kururugi, everything. It was all too confusing.

Her expression softened at his words, a slight blush coloring her face before she looked down at her feet for a moment. "Guilford. You... still call me that?" Cornelia smiled, the beginnings of a chuckle in her throat as she stared up at him. "There is no need to speak to me so formally in this world."

She felt something tugging at her heart. This man, who had always been beside her, worrying about her, taking care of her even when she refused his aid. He did everything in his power to keep her safe, especially when she least expected it. It had taken many years to feel anything for him other than respect. But now, more than ever, she realized that he had become one of the most important people in her life. A friend that she knew she could trust forever.

"Th-thank you," she said, her gaze drifting away from his as she blinked back the sentiments that had gathered in her eyes. Cornelia was silent for a few long seconds before she spoke again. "Mmn... but you must have so many questions," she said, clearing her throat.

A few seconds was enough for him to decide whether or not he should ask Cornelia questions which had bothered him. "If you feel like answering them, then I'll ask, Cornelia"

It was Guilford's turn to blush after speaking. All this time, he has never called Cornelia by her name, even when it was just the two of them and no one else. He has always referred to her as 'Your highness' or 'Princess Cornelia'. The thought of talking to her informally was awkward.

Even though she had asked him to drop the formalities, her eyes still widened slightly when he simply referred to her by name. His entire life, even before he had become her knight, Guilford had always called her princess. Cornelia swallowed, nodding her head in indication that he could ask her anything he wanted.

"I'll take you to my apartment. Please feel free to reside there for the time being... You can ask me anything you want on the way."
