[A tall, purple haired demon is lounging on the rim of the fountain in Espoir's main square. His pose is languid and natural looking - one would never suspect it's taken him several hours to get it into a state that he's happy with. He seems to be

Danny is passing by on his way to someplace or other when he his eyes fall on the 'casually lounging' demon. He eyes the man curiously, before noticing something he finds very important. The boy adjusts his route, heading towards him with clear intentions of talking with him.

Danny wastes no time when he reaches the demon. "Uh, excuse me, but that fountain rim's a little slippery right there. You could fall in."

Vyers frowns slightly as he considers the boy's words, then smiles confidently at him.

"Your concern for my welfare is gratifying, but I assure you that one such as myself would never be so ungraceful as to slip on anything."

Danny sort of stares at him, raising his eyebrows. "It's not really a question of grace. Just the tiniest wrong move, and..." No need to finish his sentence, really.

"My dear boy, I am a nobleman of the demon world. No matter how tiny, wrong moves are not something I am ever prone to make." Vyers spread his arms, smiling. "Might I ask why you take such concern for a stranger? It's not a trait I've often encountered."

He looks a little surprised that the man's able to move on the ledge like that without wavering an inch. Maybe Danny's just had really back luck with that area? "Uh... Just worried, that's all. I fell in myself once; it was really cold water."

Vyers laughed, amused. "I quite understand, dear boy. Being soaked is far from a desirable state, and we cannot all be so adapt at avoiding such things as moi. What is your name, and where are we?"

... Okay, that whole 'dear boy' and '~wonderful me~' is starting to get on Danny's nerves. "I'm Danny, and you're in Espoir's main square." Pause--oh yeah, this guy looks new. "Espoir's a place in Somarium, which is... well, 'this place'," he finishes lamely.

"How wonderfully vague." Still, any information was better than none, and Vyers was getting rather tired of knowing absolutely nothing about his situation. "Perhaps you could tell me where I might go should I wish to find out a little more, shall we say, detailed information?"

Danny wonders if Vyers is being condescending on purpose. "Maybe I could help if I knew what kind of details you wanted to know?" he suggests, tryyying to stay diplomatic. His annoyance is starting to show through his expression, though, so his diplomacy is probably going to fade within the near future.

It would seem the young man was becoming slightly irritated. Perhaps he was suffering from slight inferiority? Vyers felt some slight sympathy - it couldn't be easy, being in such a brilliantly devastating presence.

"Hmm, well...you may be able to, at that." Perhaps being able to render assistance to Vyers would make the boy feel somewhat better? "I would like to know where I might find a place to rest, for a start."

"Oh," said Danny. It doesn't take him long to think up his answer. "There're a few cottages here in Espoir that are still empty... Oh, and there's plenty of apartments in Somni! Luxurious ones, too, I hear." 8)

Luxurious apartments? Well, it was no castle, but for now that would do just fine. This Danny was clearly more observant than Vyers has thought, to realise that someone like Vyers would require more than just a simple lodging.

"That sounds most pleasant indeed, and quite suitable for moi. I shall have to acquire one of these apartments. You have my thanks."

Mhm, thaaat's right, go live faaar over there! "No problem!" he replies cheerfully, smiling. "Good luck with getting settled in!" He starts turning, as though about to leave.

"Au revoir, dear boy! Until we meet again." Vyers turned to head towards the city. That had gone quite well, really.

"Yep! See you!" Danny waves a little, walking away without a glance back.

He would certainly agree: annoyance notwithstanding, this had gone a lot better than it could have.~
