Yoh stood in the shower, his head tilted downward in a stationary position for several moments while the hot water sprayed over his body. Every limb was sore and he had felt dizzy spells for days. The good news was that the symptoms were slowly dissipating, but his sister had been watching him like a hawk. Removing the collar, while necessary for his survival, had welcomed a whole new slew of problems. He would be lying if he said he hadn't expected some side effects, but nothing to the distressing extreme he'd experienced in the past week.
His hair was completely plastered to his face as he lifted his head and twisted the knob that would turn the water off. Snatching the towel from a hook on the wall, he toweled down his hair and his body, eventually, slipping it around his waist and stepping out of the shower. Yoh rubbed his face in front of the mirror before wiping one long streak against it to remove the steam. The image that stared back at him proved that the puncture marks on his neck were nothing more than fading scars. He opened the cupboard to grab the medicine he had received from Naomi and downed a few before replacing it on the shelf.
A moment later he was stepping out of the bathroom, his hair a mess and his body still a bit damp.
