[ After the buzz of the holidays were finally starting to settle down, there was no better way to catch up then taking a walk with someone you really enjoy being with. That person, in fact, just so happened to be her best friend

Yeah, me too.

[There really is nothing better than this. Smiling, Lloyd takes her hand in his. Cold? What cold? He hardly even notices the chilly air with the warm presence of his childhood friend.

At the mention of food, though, he perks up noticeably.]

Oh, I bet there's a stall that sells pork buns! Come on, let's go look!

[ Right- they have friendship to warm them up! Scarves are useless against this mighty power!

The girl giggles, nodding her head. ] You think so? Okay then!

[ That's good. The sooner they good food the better. Because the small rumble isn't Somarium... no, that's her stomach. ]

-- Oops.

[Lloyd just laughs. Colette, you dork.]

Sounds like you're even hungrier than me!

[He tugs her hand, leading the way without really leaving her side. Tantalizing aromas hover in the air, teasing him, luring him.]

Tell me if you see someone selling any food!

[ She is the best dork, okay. ]

Maybe a little. But if you're not hungry, I can wait!

[ She follows right beside him without much effort, but oh goodness everything smelt so good! It was hard to keep her stomach tamed right now.

But it was mission time! With a nod she kept her eyes sharp and alert around her. Beside sure to check every corner for a possible place to eat. It shouldn't be too hard, right? I mean they were in a shopping district-- ]

Ah, I think I see one! [ This time her finger extends, drawing her attention to a small stand close to a shopping store. ] That must be the bun place.

Hey, when have I ever turned down food?

[Lloyd's already picking up the pace. With a grin, he finally stops in front of the vendor's stall - and sure enough, there's fresh, hot pork buns waiting to be sold.]

Two pork buns, please!

Oh! Hehe, you're right. I'm sorry.

[ Colette hops happily in place as Lloyd orders. Carefully surveying the array of buns that were neatly placed inside the cart. ]

They all look so delicious. Thank you.

[As soon as he's handed the buns, he hands one over to Colette.]

No problem. So, you wanna keep looking around while we eat?

[Already taking a bite. Mmm, it tastes as good as it smells.)

Of course! There's still a lot of ground we haven't covered yet.

[ She will gladly accept the bun, following after Lloyd as she too take a bite into hers.

Satisfying? Oh yes. ]

We should go... this way! [ Better keep up cause she's already starting to trot off. ]

[Hah, you think he can't keep up with you, Colette? Even with his mind partially occupied with the happy consumption of food, he matches his steps with hers, following her through the market. His steps slow, though, when he passes a stall with various odds and ends.]

Hey, Colette, come look at this stuff.

[clumsychosen]

[ ... This is true. You could probably focus more on walking while eating food more than she could. However, she's doing a good job with the whole walking thing while taking yet another bite. ]

Hmm? [ Her voice only slightly muffled, the girl moves to the stall in question. ] Oh! Wow, these are really neat!

[ Eyes widening at the assorted objects lying about, her gaze suddenly glances at a particular card amongst the mess. Huh... something seemed very different about this one. Now she's leaning a bit closer to inspect it-- ] ... Hey, look at this!

[Following the line of her attention, it isn't hard to spot what it is Colette just found in the stall. Lloyd swallows the mouthful of pork bun in his mouth and leans closer. He blinks, then his eyes brighten. He knows what this is!]

Hey, that looks like a card! I have one of those!

[clumsychosen]

A card?

[ Huh. She's seen people with them before, but never really had one for herself. It sure seemed nice-- ] I think I would like one, too.

[ And then she picks it up, examining it by turning it to side to side. ] You do? How does it work?

You put it in your Dreamberry. When you hold it and the Dreamberry at the same time, there's a place you can put it in.

[A pause, then Lloyd grins shamelessly.]

Do you remember when Genis grew up? That was a card then, too!

Oooh! [ Hold on a minute while she fumbles to take out her Dreamberry. Ah, there it is! ]

I do remember that! Genis looked so cool.[ A warm, bright smile. ] I wonder...

[ Holding up the card to her face, along with the Dreamberry, she quickly found the slot in which to insert the card. There was no harm in doing so, right?

And plop! Into the device the card went! ]

Oh, wait, Colette, I-

[Too late, it occurs to Lloyd that growing people up isn't all that cards can do. Not that he's really all that alarmed. Hey, it might be fun to see Colette as a little kid again. Still, there's no chance for a warning now. The card is already in.

And abruptly the world shifts, almost like he's dizzy.]

Whoa... [He shakes his head. His voice sounds funny, higher. Something must be wrong with his ears. And everything else feels off.] What... what happened?

[clumsychosen]

[ That's right, it's a little too late for any type of warning. The deed has certainly been done.

-- Yeah, that dizzy feeling you're getting right about now? She's feeling it, too. It's only a small stumble, but Colette is able to catch her footing. Huh. But.. something felt heavier to her.

Weird. ] I... I don't know. [ She blinks, rubbing her back. ] Maybe the card did something we--AH!!

[ Okay she's not looking at herself, is she? Noooo. ]
