It wasn't every day you saw a little kid wandering around the city; Isabelle couldn't help but watch the small girl, a pang in her chest reminding her of her little brother.
"Hey," she called out to Rika, pausing in her own travels. "What're you doing alone?"
She had to try and come up with something, because she honestly didn't have a clue why she was here on her own without her friends. All she knew - or at least thought she knew - was that she had to find something to escape this world and go back to her own.
"I was trying to look for a place to buy kimchi", she responds, quickly thinking that if she is going to be here a while, might as well see if she can buy her favourite food here.
"Kimchi. Haven't heard of it," she replied lightly, raising one delicate eyebrow. "But I mean, that doesn't mean anything. You could probably get it at pretty much any major store around here. Somni's pretty big, though. You sure you want to walk it?"
"Well, whatever you want. I mean, this place is pretty much the size of- Well, maybe not as big as New York, but still," she paused, regarding the little girl. "I won't argue if you want to walk."
Isabelle planted her hands on her hips, tipping her head so long black hair tumbled over her shoulder. "What's this kimchi like?"
She was humouring the girl - she was pretty cute, admittedly, and reminded Isabelle a little bit of her brother - but it really couldn't hurt anyway. Izzy cracked a grin, shrugging.
"Sounds weird, actually. But I suppose I've eaten weirder. You ever tried fairy food?"
"Depends on what you try. Some of it is pretty weird, and apparently my brothers don't like it." Isabelle paused, rolling her eyes skyward. "One of my ex-boyfriends hooked me up with a couple recipes back home, so I've been winging it every now and then."
"I'd like to at least try it once then.", she responds, "I usually enjoy most foods, nipah!"
Compared to her friend, Hanyuu, Rika was definitely more outgoing with food, and even teased the poor girl by eating something she knew the other didn't like because it affected her too. She giggled slightly remembering that, though a sad smile crossed her face as she did miss her friend a lot.
"Hopefully some Fair Folk show up, then. Pretty sure it'll suck if I have to ask Magnus; he'll just laugh," she chuckled, letting a small smile curve her mouth upwards. If she saw the sad smile, she didn't say anything; Isabelle didn't exactly know Rika that well anyway. "Maybe we can make something up one day. Toss a bunch of stuff in a pot and see if it's good."

It couldn't really be all that bad, right? The maps didn't look that big to her. But then again, it was hard to judge their size via a screen.
"Anything for my favourite food, nipah."

Maybe just say it's really spicy? But that didn't really tell the full story. She tried hard to remember what it said on the packing.
"It's a lot of different vegetables, with a really hot spice added. I think it's fermented, nano desu"

She looks at her curiously, it was kind of interesting to hear about foods that she'd never heard about before.
"What's it like? Does it taste good?"
