Uh oh. Would this propensity for bumping into someone also extend to stumbling? Because there may well have been an obstacle in poor Subaru's path, in the form of a length of golden hair, weaving over the ground in a serpentine fashion while its owner peered into the windows of buildings she passed to see if any were interesting shops.

Rapunzel was out exploring. And though she registered the sounds of someone walking nearby, it didn't occur to her to look back. Instead she darted forward to the next little street, unintentionally pulling her hair about Subaru's feet like a trip wire.

He hadn't noticed the hair at first, still looking up put then Kou barked and tugged at the leash as it moved which with the movement of having his feet pulled out from under him sent him falling foward.

"Ow, e-eh what was that?" Fixing the hat he was wearing, Subaru suddenly realized he had let go of the leash as he fell as he watched the puppy dart in the direction of the golden trail. "Kou! Wait come back here."

Rapunzel vaguely noticed that her hair had caught on something. She turned around quickly, peeking around a corner to see what it was and cringed when she saw the boy who'd fallen. Oh. Oops. She really needed to work on braiding her hair up better while she was wondering around this place. It was still something of a tall order for her.

Glancing down she saw the puppy headed in her direction and crouched down a bit to intercept the little dog. Her small green chameleon skittered further up her shoulder, turning the same color as her hair to blend in. She glanced up though. "Are you all right?"

Oh there was someone else there, Subaru felt a little embarrassed that he had fallen now. Getting up he started walking over to where the small beagle had alread stopped, wagging it's tail and barking a time or two. "A-ah, yes I'm fine. I just tripped over something."

He brushed himself off a little before squatting down down a little to grab the leash that he had dropped. "Thank you for catching him for me, Kamui-san just gave him to me for the holiday so I haven't had the chance to train him much yet."

Rapunzel was still mostly kneeling, petting the puppy lightly. But she smiled, eyes dropping to the side a bit. "Well, I'm afraid that something was probably me." She tugged at her long trail of hair a bit, pulling it closer to her. "Sorry about that. I'm still figuring out how to best put it up."

Once Subaru had the leash, she stood and shook her head. "Don't mention it. I'm glad he didn't get too far. He looks like he could give you quite the chase if he wanted to. But he's very cute. What's his name?"

"Haha well he is pretty quick and has a lot of energy. That's why I wanted to bring him out for a walk today." Though Subaru pauses a moment at her other statement.

"You?" Subaru then realized the long strands of hair that forms the trail and seemed to resemble rope or something. "O-oh I'm sorry, I didn't mean to step on your hair. Sorry. I'm sorry."

Standing up he quickly bows several times holding onto the leash.

That reaction had the blond blinking, but she shook her head at that, holding up her hands. "No no, not at all! It was my fault for being in the way. I should pay better attention." This guy was a little reactive, wasn't he? Rapunzel couldn't help but find it cute.

"So are you just out to take the puppy for a walk?"

"Yes, classes are starting back next week and I haven't had a chance to take him out much because of the weather. So since it's such a pretty day today I figured I could take him out for a walk." After all it was a good way to figure out all the different things that had been going through his head and exercise never hurt either. "I hope that he didn't scare your friend there."

"Classes?" Rapunzel inquired curiously, her head tilting to the side a little bit at that. "What sort of classes?"

She did look around with a bit of a dreamy smile though. "It is nice, isn't it? I'm still getting used to it being winter, but I'm starting to adjust."

"Oh well I'm starting the second half of my first year in high school when the classes at the academy start back next week. I believe I have math, history, science, and a few others. I'm hoping art or music or something since I'm sure I'll have plenty to catch up on with the others."

"Oh, so you're new to Somarium?" He was glad that it wasn't as cold as it had been then and that it wasn't covered in snow and ice anymore.

"That's quite a bit! It sounds really interesting actually." Rapunzel had never been to school, so the concept of it was a bit foreign to he, and therefore a bit fascinating.

The next question had her nodding. "Mm! I've only been here a few days. Though Aurora and Philip said I was here before. I don't remember that though. Last I remember, I was home in my tower. And it was definitely summer." She laughed a little, sheepish.

"I was told something similiar, well actually they said I was older last time I was here but I don't remember it. But welcome to Somarium, I'm Subaru Sumeragi." He offered a polite smile and small bow again before picking up the puppy that was at his feet, "And this is Kou."

"Older?" Well, that was a bit surprising. But Rapunzel had to admit it was a little bit of a relief to be talking to someone who was in a similar situation.

"It's nice to meet you, Subaru. I'm Rapunzel. And this..." She gestured to the little chameleon on her shoulder, who had decided to be brave once more now that he'd decided the puppy was not something he had to worry about being a snack for. "...is Pascal." She reached out to pet the puppy. "It's nice to meet you too, Kou."

"Yes, they said I was twenty five. One person even though it might have been my older brother, but I don't have one."

Smiling at having been properly introduced, the puppy squirmed a little to be sat down and tried to lick Rapunzel's hand when she reached out. "It's nice to meet you both, if you need any help with anything we'd be glad to help."

"How strange! I wonder if that you from the future remembers that you-like-you-are-now being here?" This place gave her a bit of a dizzy feeling when she tried to puzzle out just how it worked.

Rapunzel smiled at the offer. "That's very kind of you." She tucked a piece of hair back behind her ear -- an ultimately futile little gesture really. "So how long have you been here? Do you have friends from home here?" She was curious about that, after all, as much as she wanted to see a face or two from her own home.

"I don't know, maybe it's like remembering a dream where you forget about it or the details after you wake up?" Granted Subaru did usually remember his dreams, there were a number of people who had trouble recalling what they had dreamed the previous night.

"I've been for about two months." At the questions about friends from home he laughed a moment, "Ahh well not that I remember, but there is someone who says that we became friends. And Kamui-san says that his twin is just like me. But no one that I really know." He kind of missed his own twin as well as Seishirou. "Have you met anyone yet that you know?"
