[Ty Lee honestly hadn't expected to see Castiel passed out on a bench. It isn't every day after all that you see anybody sleeping outside on a bench without a blanket or anything in January. But she's probably more surprised only because he had told her before that his kind didn't sleep. She didn't end up pressing him too much on the matter, but she was still surprised nonetheless. As she goes to wake him up, she almost stops because well...look at him. He's like some adorable, scruffy puppy that she wants to take home and take care of. And besides, he looks really tired.]
[Castiel would not approve of such descriptors if he was aware of them. He is not a puppy. He is an angel of the Lord. Seriously. That being said, he does look tired. A nap could probably do him good. And he is a little scruffy.]
[He comes to slowly at Ty Lee's voice, eyes blinking awake to share at his slacks. Then he yawns. He looks a little panicked when he looks around, trying to figure out if he's been out long. Then, he realizes Ty Lee is there, looking at him with a little concern.]
[a frown creases his mouth and his eyebrows knit together, annoyed and puzzled. He clenches his fist in frustration.]
I'm not supposed to be able to sleep. That I can....it's not a good sign. It must be something to do with this place, or some kind of curse. Maybe similar to your foggy memories.
You really don't think it's a curse do you? [She noties how upset he looks and immediately feels bad.] I mean, maybe it's a good thing that you're catching up on some sleep now!
[He looks up at Ty Lee, frustrated. Her cheer is annoying, suddenly, and his aura seems huge - hot and big and nasty, like a sun, almost. He speaks with his teeth gritted, angry.]
You don't understand. Angels don't sleep. If I'm sleeping, something is wrong with me. I am not recovering or catching up. Somebody - this place - has infected my Grace. You can't turn this into a good thing, Ty. It is a serious omen.
[The sudden anger makes her flinch and she involuntarily takes a step back, hurt flashing across her face.]
I'm sorry, Cas! [The hurt is still there but a little stab of irritation arises in her voice.] But it isn't like I knew you were an angel! You didn't tell me, ya know!
[At her repulsion, he settles back down, everything calming. He just looks tired. He is from the Dean Winchester school of keeping your friends. Yell at them. There's a pause.]
I.....apologize for frightening you. I'm still...tired. When I said I don't sleep, I didn't mean that I was insomniac or unhealthy. Not sleeping is my normal state of being.
Your ignorance is my fault. I'm an angel of the Lord.
[The irritation is gone as quickly as it came for Ty Lee and she feels nothing but guilt now. Maybe Azula had been right. Maybe she was too cheery for her own good. Despite the thought, she musters a smile.]
It's okay. I understand, things are scary for you - you can't help but be a little on edge. And that makes sense. I guess that would explain why you have two auras, huh?
Yes, that's the case. In both cases. You are very intelligent yourself, Ty.
[Of course it's more complicated than that, but Ty Lee's simple happiness is almost too nice to break. On top of that, it does make Castiel feel better to be near it. Maybe keeping her in the dark is for his own selfish happiness just as much.]
[He opened his mouth to say something, only to be surprised by a yawn.]
Really? You think so? [It's nice to hear considering how often she's told how stupid and dumb she is.] Thank you for saying so, Cas.
[The yawn takes Ty Lee by surprised too and she lets out a little giggle despite herself. Instead of commenting though she chooses to change the topic.]
Well, if can't help falling asleep then we should at least find you a place to stay. I know that angels probably don't need places to stay either, but if you ever fall asleep again, at least it'll be in a nice, warm place.
Oh, don't be silly, Cas! Why would I make a friend pay to stay with me? I mean, I'm staying with a friend right now until I can find my own place, but I'm sure Takuma wouldn't mind at all.
Cas...? You okay?

Was I asleep?

I was going to let you sleep longer but it isn't a good idea to be sleeping outside in the cold.

I appreciate your concern, but I don't get cold.

"I will find some place to stay."

[This is a very unpleasant thought.]
All I need is to be directed to a cottage that is abandoned.

Well, how about we go find one together? Then we can get you a place to call your own for a bit while you're here!

[still, the notion of spending additional time with Ty Lee is welcoming. People who are not miserable all the time are... nice.]
I'd like that.
