And as if to prove he wasn't lying, Desmond reached for the hem of his coat and shirt, lifting the left side to show the three scars he had gotten when a Noctarae had clawed him last Spring. The scars were now faint white line, but it was easy to see that he hadn't acquire them back in their world.

Not only since he had woken up, but since he had showed up in Somarium. He had missed their banter, missed her support and the way she seemed to making everything worth fighting for. It made the thought of what he had done to her even harder to bear and Desmond forced himself not to think about it at the moment.
It was his turn to cross his arms over his chest, his lips turning into a slight pout: "Well, maybe, but apparently some skills aren't passed through Animus sessions." He wasn't awkward with women, generally, but he was no where as suave and charming as his Italian ancestor.
