[It had been well into the night but there were no signs of Halloween slowing down in the slightest. Trick or treaters continued doing their rounds for extra candy, parties slowly reaching full-swing, and Somarium not destroying the festivities like it usually

[OH WOW LOOK AT ALL THESE GATES. They're so huge and...rich people probably live within them. Not that Kay is interested in stealing from them. UNLESS THEY HAVE TRUTH IN THEIR POCKETS OR SOMETHING.

But she's not going to break in. She's going to try and toss a roll of toilet paper without calling too much attention to herself. Now she will take aim...and FIRE! Up it goes, where it will fall and roll down, nobody knows.

...it should also be worth noting that this girl is walking around in her Hogwarts robes.]

[Beat watches as the roll soars through the air and lands just short of the house. In which, he promptly laughs at Kay's attempt.]

Tha's weak, yo! Lemme show ya how a real pro does this.

[gangstaspeak]

[Beat takes another roll out and heads to the gate. He places a hand over the iron grates and attempts to jump over the gate-- only to get electrocuted as he places a foot up.]

BWUUUUUUH!

[Aaaaand he falls backward to the ground.]

[Kay glares at him. Ugh, maybe she should have broken out the lockpicks after all...]

H-hey! So that wasn't my best shot, I could -

[She gasps, hurrying over near him. What the heck?! Her irritation disappears, and now she's both worried and scared at the same time, because she was positive that was an electric shock.]

Beat! A-are you okay?

[Suddenly, she's thankful that she never tried anything on the gate.]

[He doesn't even begin to pick himself up from the ground. Instead, he lets out a loud groan, bringing up a hand to his head.]

Didya get the plate a' that truck, yo?

[Kay offers him a hand - although she does glance around quickly in case anyone saw them.]

...it was the gate. I don't even want to think about what'd happen if I picked those locks.

[Beat had just taken Kay's hand and was pulling himself up when the other man had decided to appear behind them. If he hadn't been holding onto his friend, he might've lost his balance and fallen once again.]

Bwuh?! Where the hell you come from, yo?

[No seriously. Where did that guy come from. Both he and Kay had made sure to scope the place out for anyone before they even approached the general area. How could he have snuck up on them so quietly?!]

[Kay gasps, and whips around - but manages to keep holding on to Beat. She would also like to know the answer to his question; that man had suddenly appeared out of nowhere...was it magic? Like the sort of magic she had seen in her dream, which had given her the black robes?]

W-we weren't trespassing!

[Which was true. Sort of. They probably would have if the gate hadn't decided to bare its teeth.]
