He notices him from a simple cursory glance. Movement outside the window in his peripheral vision, and it’s only habit to check it. He pauses with shears in midair, a rose with a particularly tough stem in the other hand. What does he say if Ken comes inside? What does he do? The last time they saw each other was that fight after he brought Nagi back to their apartments. It couldn’t be as simple as forgetting that ever happened, could it? Even in light of recent events

[Okay, maybe he kind of spaced for a moment there. Too busy thinking about what he was going to say to Omi to notice that Omi was, you know, stood right next to him. It was... well, it was about what Ken would have expected, really, given his track record over the last however long it was they'd all been doing this.
[Well, looks like he'd better ditch any thoughts he might have had of just going home - not that Ken had really had them in the first place. That would have felt too much like quitting.]
[Only a small squeeze at the shoulder answers him. Omi holds the door open to usher Ken inside and turns the lock for good measure. Blinds are lowered. He hesitates from rising back to his feet as the last one reaches the floor, or even from turning around to look Ken in the eyes.]
[Ken laughs, briefly and without humor, one hand to his brow.
[He's standing surrounded by flowers in the middle of the shop as Omi fusses with the blinds and all of a sudden it's just too much effort to stay standing. The nearest chair is a few feet away and he slumps into it, for a moment just sitting there and staring at his hands and hoping that the stupid thing won't decide to break beneath him. That really would be all he needed right now.]
