It should have been a night like any other at the club, reopened now for a few weeks despite Desmond not throwing a big opening party. Just like the reconstruction

[something inclined Draco to head into the club that night. He doesn't really know what, but he blames it on past memories that suggested they got on well enough. Besides, he's more than old enough to be in there - at least by his own terms.]

Gin and tonic, if you don't mind.

[Despite carrying a heavy heart for the past few days, Desmond smirks lightly at Draco as he orders his drink.]

Well, well, long time no see, Draco. Did you lost your way to here? I was expecting a visit from you quite early than this.

[he manages well, Draco will say that much; he offers a smirk back.]

Been caught up in a thing or two. And then, last I checked, your club had burned. A tragedy, I must say. Though this place is rather nice.

Nothing illegal, I hope? [Because last time he 'saw' the blond, he was smuggling alcohol and selling the 'talent's of gorgeous women.]

Thanks. I guess it was something of a blessing the old club burned down. It made all this renovations possible. I've always wanted my first club to be more modern look I guess.

Of course not. I do everything fully legal in this run of things. [technically, that was his father's job - he was just managing and hitting on everything that moved. But he grins all the same.]

I can't say if you succeeded that way, but I blame that on not spending much time in any 'modern' clubs. Or clubs at all, really. Might start, though.

And what is it that you do in this place anyway? I don't think I've ever asked you.

[He smirks]

Well, if I managed to have you start to frequent them just because you loved my club, then I guess I've done a good job.

I teach potions round the private school. [an idle shrug.] I can't say I blame you for not asking - last time we spoke, so far as I can recall, you thought that you worked for me.

So it seems. That or it was merely lingering memory that nudged me towards it. Either way, I can't imagine Harry being terribly impressed with the notion, so I'll likely be here alone.

Potions? Like...pharmaceutical remedies? [Educate him, Draco, he has NO idea what you're talking about. He smirks lightly] Technically, I worked for Mama, but either way, I still prefer being my own boss.

Harry? [He shrugs] Well, if he never tried one like you hadn't, how does he know he wouldn't like it? I mean, not all nights are this busy, you could bring him then.

Something like that, perhaps. There certainly are potions for that, among other things. [a snigger.] I imagine so. I won't bother arguing semantics with you either. [you totally worked for him; if it were up to Mille, you'd have never gotten paid.]

Oh, I recall his reactions from those vague memories well enough. It's not his scene. But perhaps I'll give it a go.

So you're teaching kids how to make love potions and all? So very socially responsible of you. [Why yes, he's teasing you Draco.

And if Mama hadn't paid him, it wouldn't have matter, as most of his incomes came from jobs Lelouch hired him for.]

If you do, let me know, I'm sure I can get you a more or less private place in the VIP booths upstairs.

[he can't help but grin slightly, shrugging. He doesn't teach them that, but let's let Desmond think he's cooler than he is. Draco is never one to let an opportunity like that get away.]

Well, for a private room, perhaps he'll agree to it. I appreciate that.

Hey no problem. The more, the merrier, right? Plus, it can't be bad for business.
