Somarium? [Latin? A world of dreams... yet no one knew how they arrived. The simple answer would be "sleep" but this was unlike any dream Elizabeth had ever had. Clearly it wouldn't be just a matter of "waking up." She gazed at Severus for a long time. No... no, he was not a "kidnapper" his tone suggested otherwise, although it was very easy to fake that. She could take Severus at his word or disbelieve everything. Both options had little room for anything but one action.

If this were true, her goal would be to endeavor a way to turn to England. She did not have time for some idle dream after all. If it were a lie, she would still need to find a way home, but it would be a matter of discerning where she was and who she could rely on to do that.

She didn't know any of these individuals... still, Snape's accent was of her kingdom. He was, for all intent and purpose, a subject.]

And how to return, is just as an illusive an answer... [She said it more to herself than to Snape, not even looking at him for a confirmation. She gazed at the village and everything around her. It did explain why it was mid-day when last she recalled being asleep in her bed.] Still, if this is a dream world...

[How did one contend with a "dream world?" It was not a "New World" like the colonies to be traveled to by means of a long voyage. Nor was it simply a matter of going to another country. If what Severus said was true, then she was dealing with a world on a level of poetry and art. Reached not by the passage of time on a ship but rather in the description of ink. She had somehow arrived to this.

And no one knew a thing about how to leave, how they came, or what purpose was to be had.]

How typical.

If typical describes a situation that could be better described as overly irritating and unfortunate then you are correct.

[Honestly he wanted to have his death in peace. Instead he's made a pit stop in this world. Until he could leave it would mean dealing with all this here.

Like talking to the Queen of England.

Interestingly enough, he didn't feel like she was looking down on him. Something that prevented him from falling into a far colder attitude. Of course this hasn't stopped him from speaking plainly to her as an equal but that's hardly the point.]

You will find that your title means little here. You should be warned of this.

[Yes, typical was the perfect word under that definition.

Still the last part he said. Her title meant nothing?]

Even if this is not Our home, Our station has not changed. [Still, better to ask for clarification. Was he insinuating because she was a woman it meant nothing? He didn't look like such a fool.] Explain yourself, Master Snape.

Though you will find I mean no disrespect, Your Majesty, there are those of many different worlds here. Along with yourself, there are other people who are royalty. In this place people are all placed at the same level and must work their way up for something more.

[It's just a fact really. He just wants her to know why some people will not respect the fact that she is queen.]

[And suddenly, Elizabeth smiled.]

We are fond of your plain speech, Master Snape. But I do know something of making something more of myself. [Her switch to the "I" was intentional. Oh by God did she know. She gazed at this man... and was suddenly fiercely reminded of her Walsingham. Plain and direct speech, dark clothing, and knowledge he was quick to yield to her. Oh, she certainly did not trust Severus, she barely knew him or his intentions. But for now, she could show a sign of... fondness. It did not hurt that he was not unfortunate in appearance, his dark coloring very pleasant to her eyes.]

Yes. I believe you are more than capable of doing just as you wish.

[Since she isn't looking down on him, he's far more willing to show a touch more respect to her than he might others. So far, she's left a good impression upon him, including not being offended by how he speaks. Currently he's decided that she's better than most who hold the status of Royalty.]

[Not only was he plain in speech and attractive but he was complimenting of her. Her fondness for the man was growing by the second.]

Tell Us, Master Snape, have you been here long?

Not long. Around a month. Though that has been long enough, I should think.

[To form an opinion and to learn things.]

Indeed, long enough for a bearing in a world such as this. [Now, the question was how to get him to help her. She could play the coquette role, she could demand it of him... so many other options...]

Dreamberry. (lol so am I. This is amazing.) initforthedoe October 6 2011, 05:25:00 UTC
It doesn't take long to become accustomed to it. In a fashion. [He doubts anyone could actually manage to get used to it.]

Time is not something We have, Master Snape. We must return to Our people. [Elizabeth could be called many things, but she would never be called someone who abandoned her people.]

I am told that we are returned to the moment at which we left. How fortunate for you, don't you think? [Unlike him. He's kind of...dead.]

And what magic is this? How is that possible? [She presses a hand to her chin. The question is more to herself.] Still, if Our people will not be without Us... [A chance to explore! My, how intriguing.]

They won't be. [He'll confirm that at least. It's not like he has the answers to anything else.]

[A small blessing in this sudden upheaval.]

We are appreciative of your answers, Master Snape. [And now...] Should We have further concerns, will you answer? [It was as much of a "will you help me" as Elizabeth would say to the stranger. Whether he could be trusted or not would reveal in confirming his answers. She would find out answers from another and compare them.]

My name is listed on your contact list. You can contact me as you please.

[Which basically means "yes" coming from him.]
