Poor Tetsu was lagging at a wide distance behind Frank. His little goaty legs only allowed him to move so fast, and he was already huffing and puffing from running full speed for so long.

"Frank," shouted Tetsu back, "cut me some slack and slow the heck down!"

Frank waited patiently(?) for Tetsu to catch up. For some reason, he'd expected Tetsu to be able to keep up with him; finding it odd that someone only a few inches shorter than him would have such trouble. Perhaps he needed a diet.

"We need to hurry," he said, "EVA doesn't like to be kept waiting."

"You're really fast for a human," Tetsu complained. "You think I'm stupid?! I'm keeping up as best as I can!"

He slowed to a stop beside Frank, taking the time to catch his breath. He needed it.

"I should take you running more," he said as the goat panted. "Build up your endurance..."

Frank crossed his arms over his chest, giving Tetsu another moment to catch his breath. "You can wait here if you want," he suggested, "but EVA shouldn't be too much further."

Tetsu stood up tall, stretching.

"Let's go already."

Frank simply nodded and took off into a sprint once more, letting Tetsu trail behind.

Tetsu ran as fast as his little legs carried him, but rather than trying to keep pace with Frank, he settled for keeping the boy in his sights.

He'd catch up when the kid stopped. He hoped.

Well. This was...

Whatever the hell this was, it didn't matter much to EVA right now. For all she knew this could be a damn ploy, a hallucination, or a dream, all of them plausible explanations for what was going on here, but once she'd heard that Jack was here nothing mattered anymore. Nothing really did. She might as well have her fun, however long that would last. She was tired of everything.

EVA was currently leaning against the nearest wall of a house at a small corner, waiting more or less patiently for Jack's orphan to pick her up. She knew she was perfectly capable of finding the way on her own -- and she would, if the kid was going to keep her waiting for too long. She didn't fucking care about who or what she could encounter here, and she didn't need an escort. Her hand slid to the reassuring weight at her waist, feeling the cold metal of her C96.

She looked down the street when she saw a boy approaching at a fast pace.

....Was that a goat?

Frank's run moved into a slow jog as EVA came into his sights. He made his way over towards her, coming to a halt a few feet away from her. He threw up a hand in a salute as he stood at attention.

"I hope we did not keep you waiting," he said.

Tetsu came lumbering up behind Frank at a lazy plod. The poor goat was obviously worn down, huffing and puffing from the effort of going so damn fast. He took a seat beside Frank's leg like a loyal lap dog, grumpily glaring up to the woman they traveled so fast to meet.

"You were quick enough," EVA responded, a faint smile on her lips and briefly checking out the boy in front of her and a -- she blinked, and looked again -- goat. Alright. That had to be the one Jack had been talking about before, but. Didn't change the fact that it was kind of --

"...Is that a goat?"

Frank looked over to Tetsu for a moment and then returned his gaze to EVA.

"No. He's a person."

Tetsu stared up at Frank. If he didn't have paws instead of hands, he might have slapped a palm to his forehead (and as far as Frank could see, he did).

And EVA looked from Frank to the goat and back and finally -- after being absolutely sure that this made no sense whatsoever -- shrugged.

"Riiight. If you say so. Now," disregard the damn goat, the kid and Ocelot were obviously crazy, "You'll be a good boy and show me where Jack's currently residing, right?"
