[In his muscle tank and boxing trunks, with his gloves slung over his shoulder, the young man had stepped into The Arena at nine o' clock as he had every morning since Mr. Sephiroth had made him aware of the training facility, alternating between lifting weights, skipping rope, and fiercely pummeling the punching back with every bit of raging fire in his belly. While it wasn't the same without Doc's encouragement, his involvement, his presence - and would never be - he knew that moping about it wouldn't change the situation, and that letting his sense of loneliness get the better of him would only detract from the focus he needed to build up his strength and stamina. He needed to be prepared to give his very best shot at winning the WVBA World Circuit Championship belt...
In spite of this deep concentration he worked to maintain, the Bronxite had taken notice of the shirtless mountain of muscles which was Armstrong, in the midst of his training. At first glance, there had been love, fff Mac's eyes had held a measure of surprise and
( ... )
[Well, not really Mac's fault that he's distracted. After all, Armstrong is kind of hard not to spot, if not for his muscles and height, for his... well, rather flamboyant attitude, that certainly isn't showing there but certainly will, given the time.
Even though he is quite into his training, he acknowledges the boy nodding at him and he nods back before going back to his, well, thing.
But even someone as 'lively' as Armstrong had to take a break, once in a while. So, when he thinks he had enough practice, for the time being, he stops punching the bag, which incredibly enough out stood all his hits, and walks to where Mac is sitting, with a smile.]
You training too? Is nice to see someone so young and so dedicated. [Yep. Hint of admiration RIGHT THERE.]
[After I stopped laughing at the sentence 'Train is training'...
Armstrong remembered quite well talking with Train after his sleep coma, and later on he found out that the boy worked on the police force as well. Terms like SWAT were non-existent in his world, but he soon found out that it meant something along the lines of 'special forces'. Who would have thought that someone so young was so gifted?
When he spots the youngster training not too far away from him, he can't help but feel a little bit proud. To him, it's always nice to see someone dedicating itself to get better.
He stops punching the bag for a moment to wave at Train, a sympathetic smile on his face.
[I know right? I laughed writing that down when I was making his app to put down as notes for his bio.
Train considered working on his aim again, but it seemed that his training here would be different from back home. Armstrong would probably dislike what he used to do if he knew. He pretty much knew how to hold & use a pistol by the time he was probably 10. Since the series never specified how old he was. He did appear to be about 8-10, though. He became the top Eraser in Chronos in no time.
Those were dark days of his life. He wasn't particularly proud of those days. He did his best for retribution of the lives that he stole those dark days. He would have thrown Hades away a long time ago if he hadn't had unfinished business. He actually tried giving it to Saya for her to keep, but she gave it back to him.
He didn't notice Armstrong right away, but after a while, he noticed the smile. He gave off a slightly blank look, but he simply nodded to him after it and continued on.]
[So, Armstrong quickly notices that Train isn't really the smiling kind. Not exactly a problem, It isn't like he was surrounded by smiling faces back home. In fact, Hughes was probably the only one that was constantly beaming and cheering all the time.
And, as much as he didn't approve of violence and, yes, Train's job would make him go a little bit weary and, maybe, lecture the boy on how pacifism is the way to go, Armstrong would certainly respect his decision and let him go his way. He never was the kind to force his beliefs down people's throats anyway. Still, just knowing that Train was trying to change his ways would be enough consolation for the alchemist.]
Good day to you Train. [Armstrong says in his usual happy tone of voice, watching the boy continue with his training.]
